For the first time in over 40 years, Tata Punch has become India’s best-selling car, surpassing Maruti Suzuki.
With 202,030 units sold, it signals a massive shift towards premium, feature-rich SUVs.
The SUV market now accounts for over 50% of the passenger vehicle segment, with vehicles like the Maruti Brezza and Hyundai Creta also making it to the top 5.
The trend shows no signs of slowing down, with SUVs becoming the go-to choice for Indian drivers in 2024 and beyond.
