For the last few months, I chose to step away from social media.

Not because I had nothing to say...

But because I wanted to listen.

I spent my time in classrooms, colleges, boardrooms and communities—meeting students, educators, CSR volunteers, institution leaders and people quietly creating extraordinary impact.

And somewhere along the way, I realised something.

Impact doesn’t belong to one sector.

It isn’t confined to NGOs.

It’s everywhere.

In the teacher who changes a child’s future.

In the student who starts a movement.

In the corporate professional who gives back.

In the entrepreneur solving a real-world problem.

In the ordinary individual choosing to make an extraordinary difference.

That changed the way I see the future of NGOStory.

This is more than a comeback.

It’s the beginning of a new chapter.

A chapter where we celebrate - “Every Changemaker”

We are proud to share that Ms Neha Chawla, Founder & Director of Project Shiksha and Founder of NGOStory, has been nominated in the Excellence in Social Service category at the South India Women Achievers Awards 2026.

From a single belief that education is the most powerful equaliser, this journey has grown into a movement.
Through Project Shiksha, Neha has led initiatives such as Digital Shiksha Labs, enabling digital literacy and future-ready skills across 32+ government schools, impacting over 10,000 underprivileged students across India.

Through NGOStory, she has amplified the voices of grassroots changemakers, strengthening the development ecosystem and fostering meaningful collaborations.
This nomination is not an individual milestone — it reflects the collective impact created by:
• Every child who dared to dream bigger
• Every government school that opened its doors to change
• Every volunteer, partner, and supporter who believed in the mission
It is a reminder that purpose-driven action has the power to transform lives, communities, and the future of our nation.
