Breaking taboos and building confidence! 🩸✨

To mark Menstrual Hygiene Day, our team took a step toward empowering the next generation by conducting a comprehensive menstrual health and hygiene awareness session with vibrant school students.

Menstruation is a natural part of life, yet silence and misinformation still keep many young girls away from school and opportunities. Through interactive discussions, we focused on:

Safe & Hygienic Practices: Demystifying periods and teaching proper health management.

Breaking the Stigma: Creating a supportive environment where girls (and boys!) can talk about menstrual health without shame or hesitation.

Eco-Friendly Choices: Discussing sustainable options for a healthier body and a cleaner planet.

Empowering a girl child with knowledge today ensures a healthier, more confident leader tomorrow. Let’s keep the conversation going—because menstrual hygiene is a matter of health, dignity, and human rights!

🇮🇳 Honored to Serve as a Master Craftsman under the Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India

I had the absolute privilege of stepping into the role of a Master Craftsman for a powerful Crafts Demonstration cm Awareness Program, organized under the Development Commissioner (Handicrafts), Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India.

The energy in the room was electric as we introduced the next generation to the rich heritage of Indian handicraft.

The program put the spotlight on 4 incredible, sustainable trades :
🎋 Cane & Bamboo
🏺 Terracotta
🧵 Hand Embroidery
🌱 Water Hyacinth (My specialization!)

As a Master Craftsman, my mission was to show these bright students how we take a seemingly simple aquatic plant like Water Hyacinth and transform it into beautiful, eco-friendly, and premium lifestyle products. Watching their eyes light up as they tried their hand at weaving was the ultimate reward.

Our traditional crafts aren't just remnants of the past—they are the blueprint for a sustainable, creative future.

A massive thank you to the Ministry of Textiles and the faculty at Manaha Higher Secondary School for creating this bridge between heritage and youth. The future of Indian handicrafts is in very creative hands! 🇮🇳✨

✨ Workshop on Celebrating a Greener Holi! 🎨🌿

In a vibrant step towards environmental conservation, the Rural Women Upliftment Association of Assam (RWUAA) was thrilled to collaborate with Army Public School, Narengi, for a special workshop on the Preparation of Eco-Friendly Holi Colors.

Under the EEP (Environment Education Programme) initiative by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Govt. of India, we came together to swap chemicals for nature’s palette! 🌸🌱

📸 Highlights of the Day :

Back to Roots: Teaching students how to create 100% natural, non-toxic Gulal using turmeric, beetroot, and flower extracts.

Empowering Youth: Seeing the enthusiasm of the APS Narengi students as they learned the importance of protecting our skin and our water bodies.

Sustainable Traditions: Proving that the festival of colors can be both joyful and responsible.

A huge thank you to the faculty and students of Army Public School, Narengi, for being such incredible hosts and eco-warriors. Let’s ditch the synthetic dyes and embrace the hues of nature this year!

If you think you’ve seen all of Sikkim… this one might surprise you 😄✨

I just stumbled upon a hidden Sikkim village that totally changed my “must-visit” list—so I’ll say it straight: stop visiting Gangtok for a bit and explore this instead.
