A Special farewell was also accorded to local staff member Shri Yaseen Khan, who superannuated after 40 years of dedicated service to the Indian Embassy in Riyadh, KSA
After an illustrious career spanning four decades, Shri Yaseen Khan, one of the most respected members of the Embassy of India’s administrative staff in Riyadh, is set to retire on 30 September 2025 upon attaining the age of 60
Shri Yaseen Khan began his service with the Embassy in September 1985
For the past 40 years, he has been recognized for his unwavering commitment, professionalism, and loyalty, making him a pillar of support in the Embassy’s day-to-day functioning. His contributions in transport services, diplomatic protocol, and logistical coordination have played a vital role in ensuring smooth operations during high level visits, delegation movements, and emergency requirements.
Widely admired for his discipline, punctuality, and readiness to serve at any hour, Shri Khan has been a familiar and dependable figure for diplomats, dignitaries, and officials over the years
His extensive knowledge of local government offices, diplomatic procedures, and security protocols, combined with his strong relationships with Saudi authorities, greatly enhanced the efficiency of the Mission.
Beyond his official role, Shri Yaseen Khan is fondly remembered by many for his dedication to the Indian diaspora. Always approachable and willing to lend a helping hand, he has often gone out of his way to support community members in times of need, leaving a lasting impression on countless families.
Colleagues, diplomats, and community members alike describe him as a man of humility, sincerity, and integrity, whose service stands as a model for future generations. His retirement marks the end of an era at the Embassy, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who have worked with him.
On this occasion, Mr. Yaseen Khan has expressed his gratitude to Almighty Allah for giving him the strength to serve with dedication. He has also extended heartfelt thanks to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, particularly the Protocol Department, and to his colleagues at the Embassy of India for their constant support and cooperation throughout his career
He expressed his happiness at having had the opportunity to serve both the Embassy and the wider Indian community in Riyadh
