A delegation of Arunachal Electronic & Digital Media Association (AEDMA), led by its President JT Tagam called on Shri Nyali Ete, Commissioner, Department of Information and Public Relations, Govt of AP to congratulate him on his promotion and to express gratitude for the various initiatives taken by the department for the welfare of media houses.

During the meeting, discussions were held on streamlining IEC contents (digital) of various state government departments through DIPR, ensuring timely empanelment and the prompt release of advertisement bills.

Deeply saddened by the sudden passing of Shri Om Bahadur, senior cameraman of Eastern Journal.

His death at such a young age is a huge loss for the media community of Arunachal Pradesh. He was a sincere, humble and hardworking professional who was respected by all who knew him.

We express our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members. In this difficult time, we pray that they find the strength to cope with this painful loss.

AEDMA Thanks State Govt for Including AEDMA Conclave as Annual Event under Department of IPR

Itanagar, 28 December: The Arunachal Electronic & Digital Media Association (AEDMA) conducted its first Executive Body-cum-Consultative Meeting with representatives of digital media owners and its members at Papum Hall, DK Convention Centre, Itanagar.

During the meeting, AEDMA expressed its sincere gratitude to the State Government of Arunachal Pradesh for including the AEDMA Conclave as an annual event under the Department of Information & Public Relations (IPR), Government of Arunachal Pradesh. The association termed the move as a significant recognition of the growing role of AEDMA in the state.

AEDMA President JT Tagam thanked the State Government for addressing the long-standing grievances of digital media houses by introducing a comprehensive Unified Advertisement Policy for electronic and print media. He particularly appreciated the provision of a separate budgetary allocation for advertisements in local digital media, describing it as a progressive and inclusive step towards strengthening the media ecosystem in Arunachal Pradesh.

While addressing the gathering, Tagam appealed to digital media owners across the state to uphold high professional standards and maintain the quality, credibility and responsibility of news content published on their respective platforms.

Earlier, Tagam issued appointment letters to all the newly inducted executive members appointed to the vacant posts of the association. In addition to the elected posts, Techi Tat was appointed as Treasurer, Gichik Tadam as Convenor, Giah Limpeah as IPR Secretary, Gungli Narayan as Sports Secretary, Agam Dui as Cultural Secretary and Sunday Flago as Office Secretary.

The meeting concluded with constructive discussions on challenges faced by digital media platforms and a shared commitment to work collaboratively for the growth and professionalism of digital media houses in the state.

With the theme ā€œReformation Through Informationā€, the 3rd Edition of the AEDMA Conclave is scheduled to be held on 29th July 2025 at Hotel Obsidian Blue, Itanagar.

The event will bring together speakers from various background to engage in an impactful discussion.

AEDMA collected 22 units of blood today during a Voluntary Blood Donation Camp held at RK Mission Hospital, Itanagar to mark its 13th Foundation Day.

The 13th Foundation Day celebration of AEDMA will conclude on 29 July at Hotel Obsidian Blue, Itanagar with a Conclave focused on the evolving mediascape of Arunachal Pradesh.

Supported by the Department of IPR, Indian Bank and Eesh, AEDMA Conclave 2025 with the theme "Reformation Through Information" promises of insightful and reformative discussions on the current and future trends in the electronic and digital media sector of the state.
