Kadapa Mayor Sacked Over Corruption Allegations!
The Andhra Pradesh government has officially removed Kadapa Mayor K. Suresh Babu from office after a vigilance probe found that he awarded civil contracts to a firm owned by his wife and son – a clear violation of the GHMC Act, 1955.
The company, Vardhini Constructions, received contracts from the municipal corporation, raising serious questions about conflict of interest and abuse of power.
The law clearly prohibits public officials from benefiting directly or indirectly from government contracts – and now, consequences have followed.
