I never believed in Valentine’s Day.
Never did.
I used to roll my eyes at the red roses, the captions, the “forever and always” posts.
Love? Cute.
But Valentine’s Day? Overrated.
And then…
Genpact happened.
Embridge training room.
50 people.
One very regular day.
And one very unexpected plot twist.
When I first saw you sitting there among everyone else,
I had no idea…
“You were that someone waiting for me.”
Yes yes, I stole that from a song. Don’t judge me. 😌🎶
Back then, you were just another trainee.
Now?
You’re my safe place. My calm. My chaos. My home.
I didn’t believe in grand gestures.
I believed in being strong. Independent. Self-made.
“I don’t need anyone” was practically my personality trait.
And then you walked in and quietly rewrote the script.
You didn’t take away my independence.
You made it softer.
Safer.
Stronger.
Now I believe in butterflies.
Not dramatic ones.
The calm kind.
The “I choose you today and every day” kind.
I believe in inside jokes.
In silent understanding across a room.
In building something that feels both peaceful and powerful.
So no…
I don’t celebrate Valentine’s Day.
I celebrate the random Tuesday when we met.
I celebrate the training room that had no idea it was hosting destiny.
I celebrate the man who turned my eye-roll into a love story.
Happy Valentine’s Day to the only person who proved me wrong in the best way possible.
And honestly?
If this “I don’t believe in Valentine’s Day” girl can end up here…
Life clearly has a sense of humor.
