BJP is not just a political party, it's a marketing institution. As an entrepreneur, one can learn certain aspects of marketing from them.
Here are a few points you can study as an entrepreneur;
1 Brand Positioning : BJP touched the of Hindutva with a chant. That particular chant caught on so strong, that person from that religion took it personally. BJP positioned itself around the Hindutva Ideology, hence gaining massive support.
2 Being Responsive: When Rahul Gandhi accused Narendra Modi of mismanagement during Demonitization and buying the Rafale aircraft at an increased price by phrasing, "chowkidar chor hai", the immediate response was that Narendra Modi's twitter account changed its bio from, "Prime minister of India" to "Main bhi cowkidaar". This move by the Prime minister was so creative that, all the members of the BJP and its supporters did the same.
3 Public Relation: BJP's PR strategy revolves around the idea of Narendra Modi being an unbeatable power. With putting Narendra Modi as the front runner and showboating the changes and improvement he did in the state of Gujarat as the CM, placed him in the mind of all individuals as the future of democracy and the very nation itself.
4 AIDA model :
Attention: gaining attention of the people through their ideology and announcing Narendra Modi as the PM candidate
Interest: Gaining support from the people, by showboating the Gujarat model and view to implement it to the entire country.
Desire: With the sight of Gujarat model in mind and implementing it to the country, the voters change from "i like it" to " i want it".
Action: The result is the voter votes to BJP.
5 Personal Branding : The central government is not called "BJP Sarkaar", but "Modi Sarkaar". The Party itself revolves around Narendra Modi. If it wasn't for his popularity and interpreting himself as a powerhouse, today's scenario would have been different.
6 Ad Campaigns : BJP spends huge amounts on their Ad campaigns. Their ads featuring slogans like "Abkibaar Modi sarkaar" and "Phir ek baar Modi sarkaar', was a huge hit.
7 Regional Reach : India is a multi-cultural and multi-lingual nation. so, in order to reach every household and person, you have to speak their language. This is what was done by BJP, showcasing Modi as their PM candidate and getting the people's attention through their language.
