Started learning about Facebook ads, funnels & landing pages

In 2020, I quit my job and started freelancing

And that’s where things get interesting!

I had literally jumped into fire

I had no networks or connections

Did a cold DM fest on Facebook, got a few clients

Got my account banned

Posted on Instagram, got no traction

Then started posting on LinkedIn everyday

What would you rather do?

Spend $100 on ads for 10 days, get no results and stop? Or,

You'll choose the 2nd option right?

An extra 10 days is what makes the winning ads stand apart from the losing ones!

But, what made all the difference?

It's not only testing, but optimizations and patience too

But many business owners who run ads on their own, don't read the data...

Fail to optimize and stop running ads, thinking they're making losses

Which eventually makes them lose faith in the platform

Invest time in learning all about running ads

9 reasons why your landing pages don't convert & how to fix them

Your landing page has only one objective, to get leads or sales!

Imagine you're running ads, getting tons of traffic but getting no conversions

That would be a sad situation to be in

But all this can be reversed, if you understand the reasons and implement the following solutions:

❌Visitors and prospects don't trust you
✔️Add testimonials and social proof

❌ Multiple offerings confusing the visitors
✔️Focus on only one offer

❌Very long copy with confusing and jargon filled words
✔️ Keep the copy simple and easier for people to scan through

❌Messaging and words of ads & landing page don't match
✔️Use the same tone & words, which made the people click the ads

❌Not enough testing of multiple variations
✔️Testing is necessary to know which angle and headlines are converting the most

❌Asking for too many & unnecessary details
✔️Ask only for the relevant details

❌Boring Call to Action (CTA) like buy now, download now
✔️Spice them up with different colors, make them more specific, use sentences like "Discover landing page secrets"

❌No urgency, they can always come back later right? Even if the offer is awesome
✔️ Create that urgency to compel them to take action (but don't fake it!)

❌Offer is not good enough
✔️Get in your clients' shoes and try to understand what would they want, the benefits, address their pains, your unique solution

These are the major points that lead to no or low conversions, but this list is not the only thing

Other factors too come into place which can be resolved with testing and proper research

Why you could be losing leads by running "lead gen" ads😮

When you run these ads with lead gen forms on Facebook,
You'd get:
-Low quality leads
-Leads who need chasing
-Leads that aren't serious enough
-Leads who don't answer your calls
-Leads that never clicked on your ads😂

Still people run these ads who believe

Quantity > Quality!

Even if it means burning money & making no returns on ad spends

So, what's the way out?

This:
-Make a landing page
-Choose "Sales/Leads" ads directed to your landing page or website
-Have a live chat feature on the page
-Have pre-qualifying questions on the page
-Have a video on the page talking to your audience

Result: You'll get much better leads

But, what if you don't want all that hard work

Then in your lead gen form, have pre-qualifying questions

This will filter out people who aren't serious

And you'll get your leads

But still, you'll get some people who're "just checking out your ads"

& that's why, long way is the better way IMO.

How to lose £1500 in 10 days😐

Here's what you need to do:
-Boost posts
-Run ads without a proper end goal and,
-Never track your ads

You'll definitely achieve your goal😅

Jokes aside, losing this amount is not good, so what actually happened

A business owner approached me to audit his ads

He has a local business in UK and tried Facebook ads for the first time

And the results were...👎

He had done half baked research from YouTube, Blogs and tips from fellow business owners

And he got these advice:
1. Boosting posts is okay
2. You should stop ads in 1 day if you don't get any results
3. You need to have a high ad budget to begin with
4. Narrow down your audiences

Now all these work depending on the situation

When I audited his ads, he had committed some serious mistakes

Apart from the above ones,

There was no offer, ad copy was a one big paragraph with a stock image without proper targeting

And many ads that ran for just 1 day

It took me a while to correct everything but eventually, I helped him figure it out and saved him money

He then went on to recover the losses and made a positive ROI

So, if you're running ads on your own, please do your own complete research, don't rely on tips and make losses
