Breaking the Vicious Cycle of PPC: Looking at layers of data before decreasing the ad budget.

I know seeing the high ACOS on the campaign manager scares the sh*t out of us. Because we are putting our hard-earned money into it.

A vicious cycle starts when a seller starts making an impulsive decision on the PPC. (Phase 3)

When a campaign does not generate the desired ROI it is intuitive to just decrease the ad spend (either decrease the bid or budget). But before doing that it is important to diagnose why it is not working at the level we wanted. There are multiple layers of information you want to consider before making any changes. They are:

1. Search terms
2. Targeted entity
3. Advertised product
4. Placement

After looking at these 4 parameters you will realize where the problem is and what needs to be changed.

Remember our goal is not to decrease the ad spend but increase the ROI.

The only way to increase the sales predictably is by increasing the ad spend.

Stop punishing your Amazon business today!

After auditing several Amazon accounts I realized that overcoming this command pattern of mistake can potentially yield more than 50% of sales.

That is "Lean targeting".

Meaning targeting only those keywords which are very closely related. And missing out on a huge chunk of loosely connected keywords.

For example, if you are selling an artificial plant, the closely related keywords include "artificial plant", "fake plant", "faux plant" etc.

Loosely connected keywords include "home decoration items", "home aesthetics", "office interior products" etc.

People miss out on these because it is a lot of hard work.

Targeting close keywords is a no-brainer. It is relevant and less volume.

But targeting loose keywords needs better judgment and it is a high-volume game. You might end up with a keyword list of 200-300.

But this is where you target 97% of the customers who don't know about your product.

Imagine yourself if you continue to spend on those small batch of close keywords how you can increase your sales and scale your business?

Check your targeting KWs list if you are doing the same mistake.

3. Keep the length of the video to 15 to 45 seconds.

6. End the video with the brand name/logo/tagline.
