Some moments we captured in a wedding recently on film. Analogue has been a choice of medium for Arijit since he started photography at a very early age. Even though he shifted to Digital when the industry made its shift, he continued his professional education and practice with analogue and celluloid films. After experimenting with black and white films he now started using colour films. This is the first mutually agreed test that he did during this wedding with a new stock of 500T that is rebranded as in Kolkata. The result is moderate for different lighting conditions.
Shot on FM2 and Nikkor 50mm f/1.4 with (Kodak 500T).

Delhi Art enthusiasts and practitioners, GET READY for an extensive One-on-One oil paint & graphite workshop with artiste Arijit Chakraborty.
From 15th to 26th July, choose your slots on any two consecutive days.
6hrs of fun filled extensive hands on workshop for:
Improving techniques
Learning new methods
Understanding surfaces
Understanding grip
Painting with knife
and finally creating an artwork
No upper age limit or restrictions on qualification. Any art enthusiast or practitioner can join the workshop. The workshop will be held at Delhi, hence the participants are required to be present in Delhi during the workshop. The minimum age to join the workshop is 20 years of age at the time of applying.
The workshop has a fee of Rs. 4999/- for either graphite or oil paint.
For both the media, fee is Rs. 7999/- (for this participant has to attend a total of 4 days)
Upon registration you get:
A two day session of total 6hrs
A free art-kit consisting oil paint/graphite pencils, A3 canvas/sheets of paper, etc
Easel & drawing board (with clips & masking tape) to use at the workshop premises only
Unlimited coffee/tea

Nothing is instantly available in life. The work we do at ACF is mostly creative. Technical part comes before the finishing line. The entire company is running on creative visuals and its presentation. Be it designing a logo or a web page, the work is not done in a day. No art can be created instantly. We all have become habituated with the instant gratification and consumption culture. We can not wait and we are not satisfied until it’s instant. We have forgotten the flavour of relishing the wait for something beautiful or delightful. Remember just because art can be created with digital tools, does not mean it is instant. A photocopy machine can create only copies instantly.

Our life has become a complicated labyrinth of instant gratification. This is a noose that is gradually tightening around our neck. A 2 second wait at the traffic signal, a little patience while at the restaurant counter, giving up your turn in a long queue for the elderly, they are all to be overlooked, because we have to have or experience everything without a wait. We don’t even have time to even relish something patiently. Art is not an exception in this. Both the artist and the buyer are in a hurry for instant satisfaction.

Take a moment and rethink. We still have time. Remember we are not born instantly. It takes about 9 months before a human baby sees the light of the day. To create something, we need time. Come out of the addiction of instant gratification.
