One of the wonders of the world

Pamukkale resort is located a few hours' drive from Antalya (Turkey). This small Turkish town is a real magnet for tourists. On the one hand, tours in Pamukkale are interesting due to unique thermal springs, picturesque cascades flowing from the mountains. On the other hand, a wellness vacation in Pamukkale can be combined with a tour of the ruins of the ancient city of Hierapolis, one of the most important monuments of ancient times. But most often tourists purchase tours to Pamukkale for medical purposes. There are real legends about the healing properties of Pamukkaline thermal waters. With their help, you can cure skin diseases, normalize the work of the gastrointestinal tract, forever forget about rickets, rheumatism, cardiovascular diseases and simply relieve fatigue. Tourists from Europe, the USA and Russia come to Pamukkale to improve their health. They either choose hotels in Antalya and come to Pamukkale only for the procedures, or book hotels in Pamukkale in advance to stay in this strange place for the entire treatment period. And it takes place against the background of a stunning natural wonder - the Travertine Terraces. The calcium-rich water of the thermal springs flowed down the mountain slopes for many centuries, forming snow-white natural pools. Their depth is less than one meter, so tourists are not allowed to swim in them. But tourists can still take a walk on these strange terraces. But in order to prevent the complete destruction of fragile formations, access to Travertine terraces may be prohibited in the near future.

Miracles, yes!

A chair for a giant
On the Åland Islands, which lie in Botany Bay between Finland and Sweden, in a town called Ekkere, there is a giant chair 10 meters high next to the post office. It has been around for a long time, since the century before last, when the Åland Islands together with Finland were part of the Russian Empire. There were no giants in Ecker then and there are none now. What this chair means, for what purpose and by whom it was once constructed, remains a mystery... The Alans explain the origin of this strange monument rather vaguely: they say it is a legacy of the Russian Empire, because it was so big, and Åland is so small. However, most likely, the empire is of no use here, and just one of the local residents once decided to make a joke.

Island of Krk
Such a strange name is given to a small island in the Adriatic Sea, which belongs to Croatia. Once upon a time, the Romans, whose roads ran across Europe, called it Kurkorum - the name of a long-disappeared Mediterranean people. Apparently, this people also occupied the nearby island of Corfu: in ancient times, the Greeks called it Kerkyra. From Croatian, the word Krk is translated simply as a ridge. Let's also mention the Ukrainian - kark, karkolomny.

Don't be afraid, this is a museum
In one of the cities of Thailand, the wing and fuselage of an airplane stick out from the wall of a luxurious hotel, which seemed to have crashed into it without calculating the height... Tourists may be frightened by this picture, but in fact there was no disaster. This is just one of the world-famous Ripley's Museums. Australian traveler Robert Ripley, at the beginning of the century, while traveling around the world, collected all kinds of curious and unusual things, as well as photographed unusual people. His collection has both the tallest and the thickest. In many countries of the world, there are Ripley museums, which are something like a Kunstkammer and, in fact, are the predecessors of the Guinness Book of Records.

Footprint of dinosaurs
In eastern Australia, paleontologists have discovered thousands of fossilized traces of ancient lizards. This is the world's largest collection of footprints of various types of dinosaurs that lived on our planet 115-120 million years ago. Scientists keep the coordinates of this place a secret, because they are afraid of the invasion of uninvited guests - curious tourists, and what is even worse - smugglers, who could easily saw off pieces of petrified soil with tracks and transport them to the USA and Western Europe for sale.

Plants that help not to age

It is known that nature has many herbs that have healing properties. Therefore, medicinal herbs are in demand and popular. There is even such an opinion that there are plants that can shorten the aging period of the body. After conducting some research, a number of Russian and foreign scientists concluded that this is indeed true.

Let's talk a little about some types of herbs that help prolong your youth and get rid of age-related diseases.

Soy and steppe clover. These plants contain phytoestrogens, which are similar to estrogen hormones produced by the human body. It is these substances that act as protection against most diseases characteristic of the elderly.

Scientists have found that these herbs help with menopause. During the intake of steppe clover capsules, the symptoms of menopause were reduced to a minimum. The content of phytoestrogens in a preparation such as climadinone helps in a similar way with this condition of the female body.

The Japanese consume a lot of soy in their diet, so the population of this country is significantly less (compared to other countries) suffering from heart attacks and cancers of the female organs.

Alpha-lipoic acid. Used as a food additive, it was found in potatoes. This substance can stimulate growth. In small quantities, this acid is found in the human body, as well as in animals and plants. This tool is an excellent method of combating wrinkles and other skin aging processes.

Bilberry. It has been known since ancient times that blueberries increase visual acuity. On its basis, ophthalmology uses many drugs. Blueberries are used to extract substances such as anthocyanosides, which are capable of regenerating the retina. Antioxidants contained in blueberries help restore damaged cells. Today, scientists are trying to find out how else blueberries can help in the treatment of eye diseases.

The deadly spirit of Everest

Sometimes people are obsessed with the thirst for travel to such an extreme degree that the threat to their lives is many times greater than the benefits of recreation. But this does not stop brave tourists, but rather encourages new discoveries. For the sake of sharp and unforgettable sensations, a person is ready to pay millions and, sacrificing his life, find himself in extreme conditions and climb the steepest peaks.

Everest is a mountain that fascinates extreme tourists

One such deadly height is Mount Everest in the Himalayas, which rises above sea level according to many experts at 8,844 meters. It is hard to even imagine that a person can find himself in a place where only clouds reign at times.

Every year, more than 500 tourists from all over the world try to conquer this peak. Few people can do it because of the inhuman weather conditions. In winter, the temperature on the slopes does not rise above -20 degrees, and at night it drops to -60. In summer, the weather throws up other surprises: the air temperature may not exceed minus 15 degrees, but frequent snow and dust storms sweep away everything in their path.
These are far from all the difficulties that prevent climbing. One of the main threats for tourists is the lack of oxygen, which clearly makes itself felt by travelers who have almost reached the top. 300 meters to the peak of Everest is considered the road of death, as it is at this height that people die. The brain cannot withstand oxygen starvation, consciousness becomes clouded, even cases of sharp mood swings with manic tendencies have been recorded. Some people experience instant suffocation and death. Unfortunately, for more than 200 people, this "top of the earth" becomes the last place of refuge. It is not for nothing that they say that Everest is a cemetery for restless souls. Their transportation is not yet possible due to severe weather conditions and lack of human resources. At such a height, the foundations of morality stop working, and only the survival instinct is activated. Local residents - Sherpas - are sounding the alarm about this and are trying to solve this problem at the regional level. So far, they managed to achieve a resolution, as a result of which every tourist coming down from the slopes is obliged to take at least 8 kilograms of garbage with him.

It is still a mystery why this mountain attracts so many people. Climbing it costs a lot of money. Only in 2015, officially climbing to the top cost at least 60 thousand dollars! And the permit from the local authorities is 10,000 dollars. It is not difficult to guess that the main people who want to conquer the top are wealthy people who most often do not have even elementary physical training. Naturally, trainings are held with them and all stages of ascent are discussed in detail. However, each of them behaves differently on the mountain, based on their own body resources, creating trouble not only for themselves, but also for their companions.

Also, one of the urgent problems of modern Everest is its incredible clutter with human waste and used oxygen tanks. Not only that, tourists annually burn trees to keep warm. The slopes of this giant are literally littered with garbage. And it is becoming more and more. Being at the limit of their strength, people literally free themselves from unnecessary things in order to go down and acclimatize sooner, without thinking about the fact that nature is being irreparably damaged. A colossal investment of money is required to attempt to clear this area of debris.

But can anything stop tourists from conquering the top of the highest point on the planet? Most likely, this will happen only when a decision is made at the global level to ban unrestricted climbing for all citizens of the Earth. And while obsessed with a mad passion to climb Everest, desperate travelers spare no effort and money to overcome their own fear and become one of the winners.

Mauritius is one of the most popular islands in the Indian Ocean

Blue shores, sandy beaches, a real crystal clear ocean, tall palm trees and an incredibly blue sky. Not only tourists, but also newlyweds like to choose this resort island for their honeymoon.

Mauritius is a paradise for lovers
Each of us dreams of going on an unforgettable journey with our significant other, filled with romance and bright colors. This place is just one of the most suitable. The island located in the southwestern part of the Indian Ocean is one of the most attractive islands of our land.

This resort is relatively young, but has already become so popular with tourists. There is a lot of different entertainment in the midst of incredible nature! Good-natured and friendly local residents will meet you on the island. You will be pleasantly surprised by the extraordinary amount of various water activities, such as water skiing, diving, surfing, or you can enjoy the wonderful underwater world, just rent a scuba tank and go to meet the "beautiful". For seafood lovers, there is an extraordinary variety of dishes here, starting from soups with crabs, oysters and even octopuses, ending with various casseroles with insanely aromatic seasonings. But still, the traditional dish of the island is a refreshing salad made of palm cabbage.
Another undoubted plus when choosing a vacation on this island is visa-free entry into the country, that is, it greatly reduces the time for processing documents, after purchasing a tour, you can immediately go on a trip! Money must be declared here, but their import and export is absolutely not limited, there is only one airport on the island and it is located a few kilometers from the resort area itself. You can get around here by regular buses, taxis, or you can rent a car. For this, an international driver's license is required, the age of 23 and with a driving experience of one year or more. In addition to car rental, you can use bicycle or scooter rental services here.
And what about the climate of the island, it is quite hot, but it can change with heavy rains and thunderstorms, but they are not prolonged here at all. So, when packing your suitcases, you should stock up not only with tanning creams, but also with raincoats. As for the temperature regime, the scale here varies from 25 degrees Celsius to 30 degrees Celsius. The beaches of the island are absolutely all sandy, very clean, some beaches are part of hotel complexes, and some are wild. You can stay in hotels, bungalows and expensive villas.
After visiting Mauritius, do not forget to buy interesting souvenirs for your relatives, there are a huge number of them here. Jewelry is probably in the first place among tourists, here they are quite diverse. Textiles, as well as woven baskets, pottery and hand-made embroidery are no less popular. I am glad that the service in the hotels is very good, and many services are provided free of charge. It is safe to say that this wonderful island is the best place for lovers, where you can spend a wonderful honeymoon or just relax with your loved one. This is truly a real paradise for loving hearts, which will inspire beauty and romance for a long time!
Tourists easily travel thousands of kilometers for this place!
Rest on Mauritius is far from cultural and educational, but still tourists come here to rest from the hustle and bustle of the city and gain strength on the ocean coast. A huge range of offers and opportunities charms tourists and forces them to come here! After such a vacation, absolutely all guests of the island remain satisfied.
