I used to think that if a wooden artwork existed, it had to be perfectly smooth and delicate. I felt that if the natural, rough texture of the wood was visible, it would diminish the artistic value of the piece. But I eventually realized how limited my perspective was, it's like only looking at the leaves of a tree and ignoring its powerful roots and trunk!
Then I understood that this very ruggedness and natural wood texture can tell a story of its own. Just like this wooden sculpture, which isn't meant to be polished, but rather to convey a sense of nature, strength, and authenticity. I learned that sometimes, showcasing the raw authenticity of materials can breathe new life into a piece and make it more unique.
Now, in a world where everyone seeks perfection and flawlessness, do you think embracing imperfection and simplicity can be an artistic daring
واقعاً فکر میکنی میشه زیبایی رو توی سادگی و زمختی پیدا کرد؟
من قبلاً فکر میکردم اگه یه اثر هنری چوبی باشه، باید حتماً صیقلی و ظریف باشه. حس میکردم اگه بافت طبیعی و ناصاف چوب مشخص باشه، از ارزش هنری کار کم میشه. اما تهش دیدم چقدر دیدم محدود بوده، مثل این میمونه که فقط به برگهای درخت نگاه کنی و از ریشهها و تنه قدرتمندش غافل بشی!
بعد فهمیدم همین زمختی و بافت طبیعی چوب، میتونه خودش یه داستان داشته باشه. مثل این مجسمه چوبی که قرار نیست صیقلی باشه، بلکه قراره حس طبیعت، قدرت و اصالت رو منتقل کنه. فهمیدم گاهی اوقات نشون دادن اصالت مواد، میتونه روح تازهای به اثر بده و اون رو خاصتر کنه.
حالا به نظرت توی دنیایی که همه دنبال کمال و بینقص بودن هستن، استقبال از نقص و سادگی میتونه یه جسارت هنری باشه؟
