This piece didn’t start as a plan at all and it started as a feeling. I couldn’t name yet though. Layer by layer, it told me what it wanted to become. I just stopped arguing with it. Every mark is a conversation I had with silence.

One thing I love about abstract art is that everybody sees something different 🎨

I painted over an old 16x20 canvas today with no real plan. I was just creating and letting out some emotions that had built up throughout the day, letting the painting do what it wanted to do.

What’s crazy is that people started seeing completely different things in it.

Some people saw bottles.
Some saw a city.
Some saw buildings and streets.

I wasn’t even trying to paint any of that.

That’s what I love about art. Sometimes you stop forcing it and just let the emotion, layers, and energy come through naturally.

The painting speaks differently to everybody depending on what they carry inside themselves.
