Do we have any words for this year?

A well deserved “Felicitation”for monsieur ._designs and monsieur . The book is sold out, and we say good bye to this epic year we had, live from Tokyo to Paris. Looking back at the events, it’s hard to grasp how strong the vibe was, and can’t wait to look forward for the next. Special thanks to for words of wisdom, Walter for the appearance in the book, on the collaboration for GUILLOTINE surfboard, for tightening him up, and for the torture 🥀

Well, after many events and galleries for launch of THE NIGHTMARE OF SURFING, we are closing the launch tour in Asia with a pop-up at T-site Daikanyama Tsutaya in the Art floor (Building 2 1F) .

The pop-up is on until August 25th, featuring THE NIGHTMARE OF SURIFNG book, posters, and exclusive tour T-shirts now available in store and limited stock available on our online shop. We are also premiering two short films by ._design in case you missed our exhibitions in May.

Launching The Nightmare Of Surfing for two special and unique exhibitions in the presence of the artists.

アーティストプロフィール:
Perfect Designs ( ._designs ):
パリで生まれ、若い頃からロックバンドのメンバーとして活動しているヴァンパイアサーファーの Lucas Lecacheur は、危険で破滅的なサーフボードのフィン、ダークでゴシックなビジュアルや図像を用いた革命的なデザインをサーフィンに取り込んでいる。無関係なものを絡めながら、サーフィンのデザインを未だかつてない方向へと誘う。

David Black ( ):
ダフト・パンク、キャット・パワー、クルアンビン、デイビット・リンチなどとのコラボレーションで知られるアメリカ人フォトグラファー／アーティスト。「ウェスタン・ノワール」というジャンルを開拓しており、これまでに発表した『Cerro Gordo』『The Days Change at Nights』『Candy Mountain』といった写真集を通じて探求してきた。独自の世界観をロサンゼルスのワン・トリック・ポニー・ギャラリーやパリのOfr. Galerieで展示し、作品に触れる人々を魅了している。

The 2nd chapter in Harajuku

The already Kult and Classic “PERFECT DESIGNS & DAVID BLACK IN TOKYO” will change the face of surfing, rock’n roll, and of the art world forever and ever (and maybe ever). It will be the first step in Japan by the infamous French vampire.
