A Kenyan court today has temporarily halted plans by the US to open an Ebola quarantine facility for American citizens in Kenya. The facility will have a capacity of 50 beds.

The Ebola virus had so far claimed over 150 lives since it was first detected in DR Congo's Eastern Region.

Renowned Kenyan journalist Larry Madowo has 2 hours ago reported on his social media platform that The U.S. Public Health Service Commissioned Corps is deploying a team of highly trained officers to Kenya to support the care, monitoring, and quarantine of American citizens departing the Democratic Republic of the Congo as part of a coordinated interagency effort with the State Department and Department of War.
