PUBLIC WARNING TO KENYANS AVOID RUSSIA HOSPITAL, KISUMU.

I am sharing this to alert members of the public about my experience at Russia Hospital in Kisumu. Please think carefully before taking your loved ones there or avoid it especially when they are in a critical condition.

In my experience, when a patient is seriously unwell and the family requests a doctor to come and assess them urgently, you may be told to wait until the scheduled doctors’ rounds. This is extremely frustrating and frightening when you are watching your loved one’s condition deteriorate.

I was also deeply disappointed by the attitude of the nurses there. When you ask questions or seek assistance, you may be met with rude responses instead of compassion and reassurance. In my case, I was told, “Si ungemtibu pekee yako k**a wewe ni daktari?” Such responses are unacceptable when a family is already distressed.

I also have serious concerns about the discharge process. From what I witnessed, obtaining a discharge is extremely difficult, they dont give it until your patient dies or you have connections. Its unfair!!!

I am sharing this because I believe patients deserve timely medical attention, cleanliness, professionalism, respect and compassion, regardless of who they are or whether they have connections.

They employ drunkards😩 who does check ups to the sick

If you have a loved one receiving treatment at Russia Hospital, please be very vigilant, ask questions, follow up on their condition or find away of taking them out of that hospital

This is my personal experience and opinion, and I am sharing it so that other families can avoid or make informed decisions about that hospital.
