Many are asking me to explain what has caused the shilling to suddenly gain against the Dollar.....

President Ruto was faced by a catch 22 situation. The Uhuru Administration scheduled Euro bond Payments to start in 2024....and as the new President Ruto found himself having to pay about debts of 500 billion in lump some this year. Doing that would have created a crisis.
Ghana defaulted.. Ethiopia defaulted...many other countries decided to play cat and mouse...
But through wisdom, Ruto came with a new strategy..he went to the Euro bond market and negotiated to push the payment to 8 years later...he offered the market a higher rate...and in less than a week, Ruto's gamble paid off, the entire debt was snapped and Kenya doesn't have to pay the huge debt...
This exciting news suddenly had an impact on the shilling.. many speculators expected Kenya to mop dollars to pay the Euro bond. But due to the genius move by Ruto, they have to wait for 8 years.... The pressure on the shilling eased....

Now, unlike Uhuru who took huge loans without plans...Ruto has a plan for payment...
1. Export of Abundant Labour
Kenya has millions of qualifed men and women that have skills that can generate trillions... Kenya is 5th in Africa in terms of Diaspora remittance at 4.1 billion dollars. The leading country, Egypt is leading in with 28.3 billion dollars (4.4 trillion shillings) sent back home Nigeria is second at 20.1 billion dollars (3.2 trillion shillings) per year.
Ruto has seen this potential that Egypt and Nigeria exploit every year. Both countries have systems to send labour abroad and the trillions sent back didn't come by flukes.
As we speak, only Kenya and Egypt are the only countries that have been shortlisted by Germany to provide labour from Africa. This is not a small thing. By 2032, when Ruto will be doing his 10th year Kenya will be receiving more than 4 trillion shillings per year.. just like Egypt and Nigeria....
