If you want to build a strong audience on social media, pay attention to this:
1. Use of Images
Most people think that those who attach images to almost all their posts are simply trying to show the public that they have good pictures.
That’s not true.
Images help posts grab attention. The human eye processes visuals about 60,000 times faster than text.
A good picture that sparks emotions, whether inspiration, anger, excitement, or sadness, intensifies the message of your post and attracts more engagement.
2. Algorithm & Engagement
Social media algorithms prioritize posts that get more likes, comments, and shares in the first 10 minutes after they are made. Images help to achieve this, pushing the algorithm to recommend your post to more people.
3. Best Times to Post:
Morning peak (6–8 AM): When people wake up and check their phones before going to work.
Afternoon peak (12–2 PM): When people are relaxed or on lunch breaks.
Evening peak (7–9 PM): When people are at home resting and scrolling through their phones.
Posting when people are mostly online maximizes early engagement, and early engagement triggers the algorithm to recommend your posts to even more people.
4. Consistency:
The more consistent you are, the more the algorithm begins to favor you. You can’t keep posting once a week and expect the algorithm not to forget you. Daily drops keeps you alive.
5. Storytelling
Learn to convey your messages through stories. People pay more attention to stories and breaking news than to other kinds of posts. There’s a point you will grow to where you can post whatever you like and still get massive engagement, but if you are still building, be more intentional.
There are many other factors, but let me stop here for today. Enjoy the rest of your day, and remember that building an audience on social media is not just for fun, it’s for business. Take it seriously.
