To start a successful company you either have money, time or a name. Lucky for you if you have all the three and woe unto you if you have none or one of the above and it's not money.

Elon Musk, for example, has a name and money. I doubt if he has the time (other than for x-ing(tweeting sounds better)). He just pops up with a brand and it's up and kicking. Tesla, SpaceX and now Starlink. But was it the same with PayPal? Maybe not because at that time, he had only the time and some money.

Disrupting existing markets requires money. A lot of money. Otherwise, you'll have to be a marketing genius to do it in a short period. These are facts because there's nothing new under the sun especially in this time and age of brilliant minds. Even getting a unique business name or domain is close to impossible because everything has been taken.

A case point here, most politicians have successful companies because they just need an existing idea and pump your tax money into it. Most business algorithms are likely to obey money instructions. With money, you get the best expertise all round and if something doesn't work then you change it immediately. Those with time without money don't have that luxury.

If you have a name, it can go both ways. A proper brand name will work to your advantage. A questionable name can be detrimental. If your name is associated with negatives you'd rather keep away from it and use a neutral name. A good name is better than gold and silver, they say. People need brands with faces and one they can associate with. Gone are the days of faceless robotic brands.
