My heart goes out to the new Gold Star Families. I pray for their lost and no other family is granted that membership card. ๐๐พ๐ช ๐
Yes, there are risks to the job but there is so much more gratification to serve our country. ๐บ๐ธ
I guess, what makes this incident more difficult to process is the 20+ years sending troops back and forth and in a few WEEKS time...we're back at "ground zero" ๐ฃ...and lost THIRTEEN (13), young souls, at the airport...a few flights away from HOME! โ๏ธ Situations like these are the worst...the absolute HARDEST because there is so much excitement and joy knowing that your time to re-deploy is just around the corner! They should be celebrating and welcomed back home after the long flight, a debrief before offboarding the plane and finally seeing their family, friends, battle buddies, and the media frenzy crying, laughing, jumping & yelling their names due to the overwhelm of finally setting eyes on the new WAR Heroes ๐ค๐ฅณ๐ ...but NOPE, instead, we get to watch the "Dignified Transition" of their remains on CNN. ๐
Please remember to pray for and keep the young men and women from all services at Dover AFB, in your Hearts & Minds.๐ซ ๐ง
They have a really hard job. Their mission is to provide dignity, honor, and respect to fallen Soldiers by preparing them to be returned home to their families. ๐ฉ๐ฝโ๐คโ๐ฉ๐พ๐ซ ๐ฉ๐ฝโ๐คโ๐ฉ๐พ๐ซ๐ง๐ป
