Above the age of eighteen, whether you love reading or haven't read in a while, we have all encountered literary fiction in our lives, especially here in Kenya. The origin of the website's name, Split Mind Gorilla Archives, is from a therapy session i once had. This was about two years into getting my diagnosis. My therapist had realised that i struggled with accepting my diagnosis of being schizo-affective - something we talked about called self-stigma that a lot of mental health patients go through. Not only are we stigmatised by society, but because of our socialisation from said society and environment, we stigmatise ourselves, blame ourselves and pity ourselves. Our mind is more powerful than we are at this point. It's something i am still dealing with, the struggle to accept my diagnosis, although right now, it's a bit less.

Watched by yesterday. What a wonderful show. Everyone on stage was amazing. Tears fell from my eyes uncontrollably. The humanity of the show was palpable, tangible, hanging in the air like morning mist.
