SO, Mike Mbuvi Sonko goes to confront his son-in-law for assaulting his (Sonko's) daughter. He is in the company of his bodyguards. One of the bodyguards slaps the man. In other words, one of Sonko's bodyguards slaps HIS son in law. Why couldn't Sonko beat the man himself? Put yourself in that situation. Another man, total stranger, beats your son in law, because your son in law has had a domestic dispute with your daughter. Why can't Sonko himself do it? So, if the couple breaks up and your bodyguard starts sleeping with your daughter? So, henceforth, the son in law must now live with the knowledge that he can be beaten by his father-in-law's bodyguards if he messes up with his daughter. And you call that a marriage.
