Have you ever wondered where the shopping bags for packaging foods like Onions, Bananas, Tomatoes just to mention but a few in Korogocho, Muthurua, Githurai and Marikiti Markets' Venders outsource them?
KOCH MIRROR MEDIA will mirror how those shopping bags are recycled back to the market for reuse.
Most of these shopping bags end up in Dandora dumping site by being ferried with garbage trucks from every corner of the Nairobi City County numerous estates for dumping. At the Dumping sites, they are sorted out by selecting the bags that are still in good condition and can be washed for reuse.
Those doing the sorting sell them to another team that wash them along Nairobi River banks and dry them up. They neatly repackage them into the same sizes and brands. The following day, they are taken very early in the morning to another retailer based at the market who will in turn sell them slowly to the Venders.
Vendors will package food to the unsuspecting customers who mostly don't have enough money to part with the new shopping bags. Most customers don't mind because they buy raw foods from the farm that needs to be washed and cleaned before they are ready to be cooked.
Another batch deals with the garbage bags that are also recycled and sold out to different groups that are responsible for collection of garbage in the estates. The group members distribute them to households for clients to put their household trash for the next collection. This only applies in areas where clients can't afford to pay higher rates for garbage collection.
EMPLOYABILITY.
The chain of those depending on this business is quite big. It starts by the scavengers at the Dumping site in DANDORA dumping site to the transporter. It then moves to those who wash, dry and fold them at the Nairobi River banks. The chain proceeds to the bulk buyers at the markets point who in turn retail to the Venders. The garbage collectors also make extra money by avoiding the expensive new bags although this applies in estates that can't afford to pay for the New bags.
CLIMATE CHANGE EFFECTS.
Most of the shopping bags take a long time to decompose and therefore the practice is environmentally friendly to some extent.
When disposal of these bags are done carelessly by the general public they cause a lot of sewage blockages mostly in the rainy seasons which in turn causes the sewage spillages everywhere in the City leading to a serious risk health hazard. This might lead to the spread of waterborne and airborne diseases in the capital.
EFFECTS OF THE NAIROBI RIVER WATER.
The health effects of Nairobi River water on the skin is devastating. The water which is already contaminated with the sewage water directed to the River from neighbouring estates and slums along the river without proper sewage systems in place.
Those that have worked for long have visible cracks on their skin and the water further penetrates into the body through the skin pores injuring their health without them suspecting.
RECOMMENDATIONS AND REMEDIES.
The County government should step in to establish strategic cleaner water points for the women and the youth involved in this business. Henceforth creating jobs with dignity to those involved.
Health experts should be dispatched to do civic education on the effects on the health hazard to those involved, this will reduce the implications by a wider margin.
The Nairobi River regeneration project along the Nairobi River is a game changer and will reduce the river pollution. It will address the issue of channeling sewage into the river by developers in the City.
The County government should empower those in the business of continued training and financial support for better management of the job done by those involved in this sector.
The County government should research and formulate a policy to guide on the role of these emerging sources of income. The policy should address effectively the climate change effects and health repercussions brought about by the job.

NIGHTCLUBBING,
Kisumu City.
Do you think you can start a healthy relationship from a night Club that can lead to marriage?
What are your thoughts?

NIGHTCLUBS ARE NOT FOR LOVE, THEY ARE FOR VALIDATION AND REPLACEMENTS.
Communities requires Men built on CHARACTER, DISCIPLINE and INTEGRITY.
Most men think nightclubs are about fun.
Music.
Dancing.
Vibes.
“Just going out with friends.”
But nightclubs are not built for connection.
They are built for selection.
And any man who understands psychology knows this.
Nightlife is not about bonding.
It is about being seen.
Seen by strangers.
Seen by higher-status men.
Seen by better options.
Seen by people who were not in her life yesterday.
That is the real function of the club.
Validation.
Attention.
Replacement opportunities.
A woman does not go to a nightclub to strengthen a relationship.
She goes to measure her market value.
How many men look.
How many men approach.
How many men compete.
How many men desire.
It is social proof on steroids.
This is not a moral argument.
This is psychological reality.
Nightclubs are designed to activate hypergamy.
Loud music lowers logic.
Alcohol lowers boundaries.
Dark lights increase fantasy.
Strangers increase possibility.
Everything in that environment is optimized for emotional and sexual stimulation.
Not loyalty.
Not stability.
Not long-term bonding.
This is where most men lie to themselves.
They think trust means tolerance.
“She just likes dancing.”
“She just wants to have fun.”
“She’s not doing anything wrong.”
But trust without boundaries is self-betrayal.
What you tolerate becomes your standard.
And nightlife culture normalizes emotional disrespect.
Being approached.
Being flirted with.
Being validated by dozens of men.
Being desired publicly.
Even if she does not cheat physically,
she cheats psychologically.
Because her attention is no longer anchored to you.
It is scattered across the room.
This is why serious men avoid dating party girls.
Not because they are evil.
Not because they are bad people.
But because their lifestyle conflicts with pair bonding.
You cannot build depth in an environment built for options.
You cannot build loyalty in an environment built for replacement.
You cannot build intimacy in an environment built for performance.
A woman who needs the club needs external validation.
And a woman who needs external validation
never feels internally satisfied.
No man ever fills that gap.
Not with love.
Not with money.
Not with attention.
Not with commitment.
Because the dopamine comes from being wanted by many,
not chosen by one.
This is why men always lose in nightlife dynamics.
You think you are competing with other men.
You are actually competing with the environment itself.
The lights.
The music.
The attention.
The chaos.
The constant stimulation.
And no relationship beats stimulation.
This is the brutal truth:
Clubs are not where women go to build relationships.
They are where they go to test alternatives.
Sometimes consciously.
Sometimes unconsciously.
But always psychologically.
Weakness is a choice; strength is a decision.
A disciplined man does not argue with nightlife culture.
He opts out of it.
He chooses gyms over clubs.
Skills over parties.
Purpose over attention.
Growth over validation.
This is what I teach on my platform.
Serious men build environments.
They do not chase them.
Step up or step aside.
If you disappoint, you must appear before the council of brotherhood, and explain why you’ve decided to disgrace everybody!
Get out of your feelings and into your focus.
Because the man who tries to build love in a nightclub
is competing in a marketplace designed for his replacements
Rules are Rules.

WHATEVER YOU WANT IN LIFE, YOU MUST MAKE UP YOUR MIND TO DO IT FOR YOURSELF."

Korogocho, sikiliza:
Prayer is the foundation. Action is the building.
God gave us a MIND for a reason. Use it.
