BT: THE GREAT WALL TV 📺😂🇰🇪
Before smart TVs, Netflix and YouTube, there was THE GREAT WALL. 😂
That TV was not just an appliance… it was a member of the family. 😭
You’d sit there waiting for your favourite programme, then suddenly the picture disappears. Someone shouts:
“Kaa hapo! Usiguse TV!” 😂
Then Dad comes with the a pair of pliers like a technician from KPLC. He presses one button 17 times, hits the side of the TV twice and somehow the picture comes back. 😂😂
And when the antenna started misbehaving?
One person would stand outside holding the aerial:
“Hapo iko sawa?”
“NOOO! RUDI NYUMA!”
“SAHII?”
“WEKA JUU!”
Meanwhile the person inside is screaming like they’re directing a helicopter. 😂😭
And if you accidentally changed the channel during the news?
Pray you have your will ready.💀
No Wi-Fi. No buffering. No 4K.
Just Great Wall TV, an aerial, a VCR/DVD player and pure Kenyan patience. 😂🇰🇪
