As I add another circular ring on the tree trunk today, a lot of things go through my mind, but the best thing that I still hold dear is that even though I am my father, I still don’t look and feel my father…maybe I have done a good job taking care of myself (I know I still need to do more)…but onward and forward, you are the most important person to you so do you first at all times and if conditions permit, do only you!

Good morning
Part of being a father to grown men is receiving late night phone calls after your son has been in an accident and this last weekend I wasn’t spared that at all. The dreaded thing about these is juggling the first few seconds of that call as it could go any direction but thank God there was no injuries at all just damage to the vehicles. This took me back many years ago when that phone call was to my dad and subject was myself…we have really become our parents!

Peace of mind is the biggest asset you should be following up right now…we have lots of lifestyle diseases that if you combine that with unwanted stress and pressures of this world my friend, you will drop dead like a fly…so, if it’s your hand making you stress…chop it off, if it’s your car making you stress…sell it off, if it your mate making you stress…drop off mate! This is the only life you got and nothing (NOTHING) is worth ruining it for you especially at this age! Live to the fullest… an stress-free and healthy life!

Good morning
Yesterday I wore a suit as I had one meeting in Parklands but before that I had to pay my last respects to a dear friend who passed on and was lying at Lee Funeral Home..met up with a few old friends and realised that the last time we had a face to face was over a decade ago, didn’t feel like it as social media lies to us that we are in contact, so, please check on old friends and connect for life is too short. Back to the suit, don’t you just hate it when someone wants you to ‘kosana’ with them before they do the right thing? My meeting was about that, for 2 months I have been very polite (which I think they mistook for weakness) then when I got to the wall which they pushed me to, my claws came out automatically and within 5 minutes the matter was resolved, just like that! Why not just do the right thing from the onset and save us both valuable time and bile? No?
