For two millennia, the Church and the Mosque have solved a logistical problem that would make a modern CMO weep and they’ve done it without a single ‘Retargeting Pixel.’
They understand something the average MBA-addled business owner finds incomprehensible: The sheer uselessness of scale without devotion. A million ‘followers’ are merely a statistic
a fragile collection of people who happened to click a button while bored on the toilet. But a thousand believers? That is a self-sustaining ecosystem. You don’t need a better algorithm, you need better alchemy. You need to stop ‘optimizing’ your brand and start ritualizing it.
If efficiency were the goal, we’d all just read the Bible at 2x speed as an ebook. People don’t want a ‘seamless’ experience, they want the meaningful friction of a shared ritual.
Comment ‘Ritual’ and I’ll send over our playbook on how to manufacture meaning in an age of digital noise.

Swarovski didn’t invent luxury; they committed a brilliant act of psychological alchemy.
Strictly speaking, they sell glass. But if you try to sell “expensive glass,” you’re stuck in a rational price war with a window manufacturer. By reframing it as Crystal, they didn’t change the molecules..they changed the meaning.
Most businesses are currently suffocating in the “Logic Trap.” They assume that if they optimize the product, the market will reward them. But the human brain doesn’t work on spreadsheets. When you position your offer as a task, you are volunteering for a price war. When you position it as an experience, you create a psychological monopoly where price becomes irrelevant.
The lesson is simple: stop trying to be “better” and start being perceived differently.
So, be honest: What are you still calling “glass” in your business, when it should be positioned as Crystal?
