Trust doesn't happen automatically online. Nobody has met you. Nobody has seen your work in person. All they have is your website — and in the first few seconds, it either builds trust or it doesn't.

We've seen companies with 30 years of experience and big-name clients lose inquiries to a newer competitor—simply because the newer site showed client reviews and theirs didn't.

If there's no testimonial, review, or client name visible without scrolling, you're asking visitors to trust you on faith alone.

Put one real testimonial or recognizable client name above the fold. It does more for trust than a paragraph of text ever will.

Google just added something new to Search Console... and it's pretty exciting for anyone doing marketing or SEO.

You can now actually see how your content is performing inside Google's AI Overviews! 🎉

Here's what you can do with it:

✅ See which of your pages are showing up well in AI Overviews
✅ Check which countries your content is appearing in
✅ Track when it showed up
✅ Compare how different pages are doing

The catch? It doesn't show clicks or average position yet — so we can see that our content is being featured, but not exactly how many people are clicking through because of it.

Why does this matter if you run a business?

Before this, you had no idea whether Google's AI was even picking up your content. Now you do. That's huge. It means you can start figuring out which pages are earning that spot — and do more of what's working.

My honest take? Google needs to add click data next. Right now we know we're being seen, we just don't know if it's turning into actual traffic. That's the missing piece.

Every extra field on a contact form is a reason to abandon it.

We regularly see business sites in Kenya asking for company size, budget range, and "how did you hear about us" before someone has even spoken to them once.

That's friction at exactly the moment you want the least resistance.

Strip it down to name, email, phone, and message. Add a WhatsApp option right next to it as an alternative.

In Kenya, WhatsApp is how most small businesses communicate

Someone lands on your site at 9pm needing help right now. A form that says "we'll respond within 24 hours" loses them instantly.

If your website doesn't have a WhatsApp button that follows the visitor as they scroll, you're relying on a form most people won't bother filling in.

Fix: Add one. It takes an afternoon and it's usually the single easiest conversion fix on any Kenyan business site.
