IdealMerit Africa’s August – September 2026 Gubernatorial Opinion Poll Survey provides an assessment of voter sentiment and candidate preference ahead of the 2027 West Pokot County Gubernatorial Election. Respondents were asked: “If the General Elections were held today, whom would you vote for as your Governor?”

The findings indicate that Hon.Prof. John Krop Lonyang'apuo, PhD (UDA) received 56.7% of voter preference and support, while Hon. David Pkosing,CBS, MP. (UDA) followed with 41.1% of voter Support.

The survey covered 3,281 registered voters drawn from all 4 Constituencies of West Pokot County. Respondents were selected through a scientifically designed, one-on-one random sampling methodology intended to provide broad geographic coverage and balanced participation across the County.

📊 IDEALMERIT AFRICA OPINION POLL SURVEY : 2027 RUNYENJES CONSTITUENCY PARLIAMENTARY RACE

IdealMerit Africa’s August – September 2026 Parliamentary Opinion Poll Survey provides an assessment of voter sentiment and candidate preference ahead of the 2027 Runyenjes Parliamentary Election. Respondents were asked: “If the General Elections were held today, whom would you vote for as your Member of Parliament?”

The findings indicate that Hon. Muchangi Karemba (UDA) received 55.7% of voter preference and support, while MNA Hon Steve Simba 2027 (DCP) followed with 24.7% voter support.

The survey covered 2,619 registered voters drawn from all 6 wards of Runyenjes Constituency. Respondents were selected through a scientifically designed, one-on-one random sampling methodology intended to provide broad geographic coverage and balanced participation across the constituency.

📊 The IdealMerit most recent Opinion Poll survey show that, the Democracy for Citizens Party (DCP) emerges as the most preferred political party in Murang’a County, with 44.9% of respondents saying they currently feel most closely aligned with the party.

The People’s Party of Kenya (PPK) follows with 37.7%, while 10.4% identified with other parties and 7.0% said they currently do not identify with any political party.
