Let's talk about potato yield today. What would you say is key determinant of potato yield? Some of us think virgin land gives the best yield. Others say that fertilisers and boosters guarantee a bumper harvest and so on. This means that, if you plant a 50kg bag of certified seed potato, you can harvest 15 bags and above.

Potato farming is a lucrative business practiced by 60% of all farmers in Kenya. Unfortunately, 70% of potato farmers haven't been profitable mainly because of poor yield as a result of poor quality seeds.
At Utopian Group, we are licenced by KEPHIS to Produce, Process and Market Certified Seed Potato. The use of Certified Seed Potato has been proven to increase yield in fourfold i.e harvest increase from 4 t/acre up to 16 t/acre.
