👁️🗨️The Unanswered Mystery of Mercy Wanjiru Kimani
On 18 January 2026, 23-year-old Mercy Wanjiru Kimani left her home in Ruai after receiving a call from a friend inviting her to a birthday party at Tunnel Lounge along Mombasa Road.
CCTV later showed Mercy at the lounge with friends. The others eventually left, while she remained behind. Outside, she spent nearly 30 minutes speaking to a boda-boda rider before walking away alone.
She never returned home.
Her family reported her missing and searched hospitals and surrounding areas. Days later, a pastor who had seen an injured young woman near Ramtons recognized Mercy from a photograph shared online.
She was found in the ICU at Thika Level 5 Hospital, suffering severe injuries, including broken arms, a badly fractured leg, head injuries, and abdominal trauma.
For three months, her family stayed by her side, hoping she would recover. Sadly, Mercy died on 23 April 2026 without ever regaining the ability to speak or explain what happened.
The circumstances surrounding her injuries remain unclear, and her family continues to call for a thorough investigation.
What happened to Mercy after she walked away from the boda-boda rider? Who was responsible?
