We do printing.
We print on paper.

How much should we charge the government?
Where will they get the cash to pay us yet it's us printing the notes?

At primary school, our head teacher Mr. Henry Mwangi would cane you for simply standing next to a piece of paper lying on the compound. Doesn't matter who had dropped it. To instill a sense of responsibility, you had to collect it and dispose of it properly.

This went on in high school and our principal Mr. Riachi wouldn't let you idle around next to something that needed to be corrected, eg sweeping etc.

Fast Forward.

Today, I see policemen standing by the roadside next to A Big Pothole going about their business as usual, and wishing if only our head teacher would pass by and tell the boys in blue to just pick a shovel and be filling that potholes as they wait for the matatus?

This post is not about our brothers in the traffic police department, but it's about The Idle capacity that we all carry.

If today, we'd be responsible citizen around our towns, estates, homes, school, workplaces, we could make the world around us a happy place.

No pot holes, no garbage, No pools of stagnant water, no street children, no hungry people, no thieves, broken things...

Don't wait to be paid to do good.
Don't wait for payment to bring change.
