It's going to be completely USELESS unless you:

a] Have some awesome existing content [photos + videos]
or b] Invest in some awesome content [photos + videos]

Social media marketers cannot communicate your brand's messaging and strategy visually, without supporting assets. And if they say they can, I would personally be skeptical. Stock doesn't cut it, you need original, branded and engaging content to really grow your account, generate awareness, stop scrolls and build an audience.

Whether you like it or not, the value of your brand is perceived through the quality of your content. So I cannot emphasize enough the importance of investing in it.

So, how can you invest in awesome content? We work with various photographers which we can share with you

Otherwise, if your budget is strapped and you've gotta keep it in house, we got you boo 😘 Try:

✅ Giving your phone camera lens a wipe and get snapping. Phone quality is actually really impressive these days!

✅ Go in with a plan/brief, so you can capture all relevant content that you can use towards your social media marketing. I do this every photography session.

✅ Set aside some time to shoot at once so you've got a good bank of content. You can capture so much in 1hr if you plan it all out.

✅ Shoot in natural light [in front of a window is my go-to spot for stories]. Otherwise, you can find ring lights super cheap online.

✅ Use apps like Lightroom to create consistency when editing your photos.

How to target people who have interacted with your ads

A lot of times, when ads are running, s lot of engagement is seen. It can be a like or a comment or have stopped midway from watching your video

You cannot let them get away. They are already at top of funnel. They love your content

To take them to next stage of a funnel, consideration stage - what you should do is create another ad targeting them. How? By creating a custom audience.

1. Go to Facebook ads manager , fill in the ad level campaign details before moving to ad set level where audience targeting is.
2. Go to audience section. When creating new audience, select custom audience. A dialog box appears
3. The dialog box has a drop down of different sources. You can select ( those who have engaged with your ads). You can then select duration of interaction ( 90 days is fine unless your ad was not recent). Then name your audience.
4. Allow it now to populate - that’s it.

Empathy is a Game changer when it comes to closing a sale with your customers. This does not mean that competence is left behind.
But there is a natural order on how they follow each other.

Let’s say you have acne problems and you have entered this store but you don’t know which products are good. So you tell the sales person, I want a certain product. The sales person looks at your face, sees the acne and recommends this product instead based on her expert opinion.

Another sees your face, ask you questions on your acne history, products you have been using then recommends the best options based on answers you give him and what she has seen working for others or herself.

But sometimes, it’s a necessary evil.

In order to establish trust with your customers, sometimes you need to give something valuable for free. The thing is if you don’t, most people can find the same information on Google or YouTube. Sometimes even from your competitors

You don’t want to miss out on your customers or for your customers to go somewhere else to get the same information so you need to offer free information sometimes

Not saying all the time, but in moderation.

Establish Trust with your customers, then sell to them. They will be more receptive then.

We can all agree hashtags have a variety of uses and are among staples in every strategy we make

For us, we look at them as free organic advertising. So the question is, how can you use them effectively? How do you create a hashtag strategy

A key requirement when you have less followers - don’t go for the popular hashtags. Big accounts will obviously swallow your content from that popular hashtag

Think about it like this. If your brand sells women’s shoes, using a general hashtag like won’t help you to stand out in the search results, which contains nearly 1.5M other posts related to your specialty. But if you opt for another hashtag, say , you’ll find your post is one of only 50,000, which means you’re in a feed featuring far less competition, increasing the odds that users will find your post. That goes even for local based hashtags - use less popular get discovered more

Also never use hashtags like follow to follow - Instagram seems them engagement pods so your page ranks lower in the algorithm. Ultimately they may get shadow banned.

Most times when it comes to Facebook ads, we want to advertise to well-off people who can afford considerable expenses. Which targeting criteria should we use to maximize the target audience reach and, in effect, the conversion rate?

The first thing to keep in mind when determining your target audience on Facebook is that we have to rely on our biases and assumptions so that the highest possible amount of people fulfil our requirements

We don’t always get it right , but I’ve chosen a few things that can indicate a person is wealthy- but you have to explore more within Facebook ads.

At the same time, we have to remember, that interests not always correspond to reality. A person browsing through expensive jewelry or even and deemed by Facebook to be “interested in luxurious products” does not have to be someone affluent. It’s why Remarketing is essential and a pixel gives you an advantage

The main differentiation factor is - RESEARCH

Here's what goes into the research process:

• Product Research

Have a proper understanding of your product/service and how it will benefit your audience.

• Target Audience research

Know your target audience and understand their mindset. That's the only way you can write a compelling copy.

• Market Research

Find out where your audience is in the market. Know the social media platforms you need to target and then write a copy.

• Proof and Stats Research

Emotions can work like magic when backed by logic. Make sure to include authentic facts and figures. Also, include testimonials to build trust and credibility.

The same rules apply when writing social media copy- your posts should be backed by research for them to be effective

Hashtags are a non paid way to increase reach on our Instagram posts. They play a big role. So getting it right is essential

There are few times you may find your hashtags not working. Let’s point them
out

1. You have no clear strategy. You should anticipate what your ideal audience is searching for, then use the hashtags to be discoverable. Think about it. Be clear on your goals
2. Using very Popular hashtags. Using hashtags that are too popular won’t drive traffic to your page. You will be competing with more bigger account and you get lost in the maze. For accounts with less than 1000followers, the biggest you can go is hashtags with at least 500k posts. But even then use 1 or 2 hashtags that are this popular
3. You haven’t figured out your hashtag community . Before adding hashtags , check if you belong in that community or if your posts fit with the hashtag you have chosen. Don’t spam on hashtags your content does not belong.
4. Using shadow banned hashtags . These are hashtags that are considered spam by Instagram. When you use them on your content, your account may be flagged. To know off a hashtag is shadowbanned, you can use various hashtag tools or just check via instagram
5. You keep using the same hashtags on every posts. If you do this, then it may not work for you. Change hashtags every now and then on your posts
