🕊️ TRIBUTE TO THE LATE RT. HON. RAILA AMOLO ODINGA
By Apostle Charles Joseph
There are men who walk among us like tides — silent yet shaping the shores of history with every stride. The late Raila Amolo Odinga was one such man: a phenomenon, a patriot, an enigma whose life will echo through generations.
I had the rare honor of meeting and speaking with him in 1996, 2001, 2020, and once more during the last election season. Each encounter left an unforgettable mark — not of a mere politician, but of a man deeply aware of destiny, profoundly convicted about justice, and unwavering in his pursuit of a better Kenya.
He embodied the resilience of a nation’s hope. Through detentions, disappointments, and decades of delay, Baba remained unbroken — his voice, a compass of conscience; his dream, a mirror of possibility.
Kenya has not just lost a leader — we have lost a symbol of courage, a living chapter of democracy, a moral giant whose fire could not be dimmed by time or trials.
As we mourn, we must also emulate.
May we carry forward his courage to speak truth to power, his endurance to persist through storms, and his vision to unite rather than divide.
Farewell, Baba — the enigma who became an emblem of endurance.
Your works will follow you, and your dream of a just, united, and prosperous Kenya shall never die.
🕊️ “Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord... that they may rest from their labors, and their works do follow them.”
— Revelation 14:13
