Public Notice Regarding the Legal Rights and Intellectual Property Ownership of the Revo Brand
Since 2015, the Revo™ (Revo™ Revolution™ Advertising) brand has become a symbol of trust and excellence in the Sri Lankan advertising and marketing industry. This proud "Revo" brand name and Trademark, which we have built to represent quality service, is our absolute intellectual property. We are issuing this notice to educate the public regarding this ownership and our legal rights.
The Intellectual Property Act and Our Legal Rights According to the Intellectual Property Act No. 36 of 2003 of Sri Lanka and international trademark laws, once an organization registers its trade name, that name or a similar name (when exclusive rights have been granted by law) cannot be used by anyone else under the relevant service categories.
Since 2015, our brand has been officially registered under multiple classes through the National Intellectual Property Office. Accordingly, our company holds the exclusive right to use the name "Revo" for all of the following service categories:

Brand Misuse, Counterfeits, and Legal Status
Due to the high recognition of our brand, we have observed that certain individuals have attempted to use names that are remarkably similar to the "Revo" name in sound, appearance, and format (such as rovo, rivo, rewo, reco, rexo, revox, rixo) in a manner that confuses consumers. Acting in a way that mimics a registered trademark is a clear offense under intellectual property law.
Whether intentionally or unintentionally, mimicking or misusing any registered intellectual property or brand by any individual or organization is a serious offense punishable by law. A registered brand and trademark constitute the intellectual property of a person or business, and causing harm to it, knowingly or unknowingly, is explicitly a legal offense according to international conventions.
Furthermore, we emphasize that individuals who intentionally breach consumer trust through imitation are recognized as scammers before the law, which is a crime subject to severe punishment. We have noticed that many people treat these matters very lightly, often due to a lack of awareness regarding the seriousness of intellectual property law.
Therefore, our Artificial Intelligence (AI) system has been configured to automatically notify us if anything similar to our brand is used on the internet. On several occasions, when we informed those who were using fake names similar to ours, they took steps to change them. However, choosing a different, appropriate brand for your business in advance will help you avoid potential inconveniences before facing legal or other problematic situations.
Legal Actions and the True Event of 2024
Our organization will never hesitate to take legal action to protect our brand rights. In 2024, we officially filed a complaint with the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) against a group of scammers who misled consumers by using fake names similar to our brand. Following expedited investigations, the fraudsters were strictly penalized by the law, and full legal justice was served to our company. (As stated in the official notice we issued at that time).
A Warning to New Entrepreneurs and a Message to Clients This article is published not merely to protect our brand, but with the aim of educating the entire community and new entrepreneurs about intellectual property rights.
Therefore, we urge all parties starting new businesses to be strictly mindful to select trade names that do not resemble our "Revo" brand in sound, appearance, or spelling. We firmly notify you that should any issue arise that harms our intellectual property rights due to a failure to adhere to this, we will not hesitate to take proper legal action.

Revo සන්නාමයේ නීත්යානුකූල අයිතිය සහ බුද්ධිමය දේපළ හිමිකම ගැන ප්රජාව දැනුවත් කිරීම පිණිස.
2015 සිට Revo (Revo Revolution Advertising) සන්නාමය ශ්රී ලාංකේය ප්රචාරණ සහ අලෙවිකරණ ක්ෂේත්රය තුළ විශ්වාසයේ සහ විශිෂ්ටත්වයේ සංකේතයක් බවට පත්ව ඇත. ගුණාත්මක සේවාවක් වෙනුවෙන් අප ගොඩනැගූ මෙම අභිමානවත් "Revo" වෙළඳ නාමය සහ වෙෙළඳ ලකුණ (Trademark) අප සතු පරම බුද්ධිමය දේපළක් වන අතර, ඒ පිළිබඳව සහ අපගේ නීත්යානුකූල අයිතීන් සම්බන්ධයෙන් ප්රජාව දැනුවත් කිරීම පිණිස මෙම නිවේදනය නිකුත් කරමු.
බුද්ධිමය දේපළ පනත සහ අපගේ නීත්යානුකූල අයිතිය
ශ්රී ලංකාවේ 2003 අංක 36 දරන බුද්ධිමය දේපළ පනත සහ ජාත්යන්තර වෙළඳ ලකුණු නීතීන්ට අනුව, යම් ආයතනයක් තම වෙළඳ නාමය ලියාපදිංචි කළ පසු, එම නාමය හෝ ඊට සමාන නාමයක් (නීතියෙන් තනි අයිතියක් ලබාදී ඇති විටකදී) අදාළ සේවා කාණ්ඩයන් යටතේ වෙනත් කිසිවෙකුට භාවිත කළ නොහැක.
වසර 2015 සිට ජාතික බුද්ධිමය දේපළ කාර්යාලය හරහා පන්ති (Classes) ගණනාවකින් අපගේ සන්නාමය නිල වශයෙන් ලියාපදිංචි කර ඇත. ඒ අනුව පහත දැක්වෙන සියලුම සේවා කාණ්ඩයන් සඳහා "Revo" නාමය භාවිත කිරීමේ තනි අයිතිය ඇත්තේ අප ආයතනයට පමණි:

සන්නාම අවභාවිතය, ව්යාජ අනුකරණ සහ නීතිමය තත්ත්වය
අපගේ සන්නාමයේ ඇති ඉහළ පිළිගැනීම නිසාම, ඇතැම් පුද්ගලයන් පාරිභෝගිකයින් ව්යාකූල වන පරිදි rovo, rivo, rewo, reco, rexo, revox, rixo වැනි ශබ්දයෙන්, පෙනුමෙන් සහ හැඩතලවලින් "Revo" නාමයට අතිශයින් සමාන නම් භාවිත කරන්නට උත්සහ කර ඇති බව අපගේ නිරීක්ෂණයට ලක්ව ඇත. ලියාපදිංචි වෙළඳ ලකුණකට සමාන වන අයුරින් මෙලෙස කටයුතු කිරීම බුද්ධිමය දේපළ නීතිය යටතේ පැහැදිලි වරදකි. යම් පුද්ගලයෙකු හෝ ආයතනයක් හිතාමතා හෝ නොදැනුවත්ව යම් ලියාපදිංචි බුද්ධිමය දේපළක් හෝ සන්නාමයක් අනුකරණය කිරීම හෝ අවභාවිත කිරීම නීතිය ඉදිරියේ දඬුවම් ලැබිය හැකි බරපතළ වරදකි. ලියාපදිංචි සන්නාමයක් හා වෙළෙද ලකුණක් යනු යම් කෙනෙකු හෝ ව්යාපාරයක් සතු බුද්ධිමය දේපලක් වන අතර එයට දැනුවත්ව හෝ නොදැනුවත්ව හානි කිරීම ජාත්යන්තර සම්මුතීන්ට අනුව පැහැදිලිවම නීතියෙන් වරදකි.
මීට අමතරව, හිතාමතාම පාරිභෝගික විශ්වාසය කඩ කරමින් අනුකරණය කරන පුද්ගලයන් ස්කෑම්කරුවන් (Scammers) ලෙස නීතිය ඉදිරියේ හැඳින්වෙන අතර, එය දැඩි දඬුවම් ලැබිය හැකි අපරාධයක් බව ද අවධාරණය කරමු. බොහෝ විට මෙම බුද්ධිමය දේපළ නීතියේ බරපතළකම පිළිබඳව පවතින නොදැනුවත්කම නිසා බොහෝ දෙනෙකු මේවා ඉතා සැහැල්ලුවට ගෙන කටයුතු කරන බව අපට පෙනී ගොස් ඇත.
එබැවින්, අන්තර්ජාලය තුළ අපගේ සන්නාමයට සමාන යමක් භාවිත වන්නේ නම්, ඒ පිළිබඳව ස්වයංක්රීයවම අප වෙත දැනුම් දීමට අපගේ කෘතිම බුද්ධි (AI) පද්ධතිය සකසා ඇත. අවස්ථා කිහිපයකදීම අපට සමාන ව්යාජ නම් භාවිත කළ අයට ඒ පිළිබඳව අප දැනුම් දුන් විට, ඔවුන් ඒවා වෙනස් කර ගැනීමට කටයුතු කළහ. නමුත්, නීතිමය හෝ වෙනත් ගැටලු සහගත තත්ත්වයන්ට මුහුණ දීමට පෙරම, ඔබගේ ව්යාපාරය සඳහා වෙනත් සුදුසු සන්නාමක් තෝරාගැනීමෙන් සිදුවිය හැකි අපහසුතාවයන් වළකාගත හැකි වනු ඇත.
නීතියේ පියවර සහ 2024 වසරේ සත්ය සිදුවීම
අපගේ සන්නාම අයිතිය සුරැකීම වෙනුවෙන් නීතිමය පියවර ගැනීමට අප ආයතනය කිසිවිටෙකත් පසුබට වන්නේ නැත. 2024 වසරේදී, අපගේ සන්නාමයට සමාන ව්යාජ නාමයන් භාවිත කරමින් පාරිභෝගිකයින් නොමඟ යැවූ ස්කෑම්කරුවන් පිරිසකට එරෙහිව අප විසින් අපරාධ පරීක්ෂණ දෙපාර්තමේන්තුවට (CID) නිල වශයෙන් පැමිණිලි කරන ලදී. එහිදී සිදුකළ කඩිනම් පරීක්ෂණවලින් අනතුරුව අදාළ වංචනිකයින්ට නීතිය මඟින් දැඩි දඬුවම් ලබා දුන් අතර, අප ආයතනයට නීතියේ පූර්ණ සාධාරණත්වය ඉටු විය. නව ව්යාපාරිකයින්ට අවවාදයක් සහ සේවාලාභීන්ට පණිවිඩයක්
මෙය හුදෙක් අපගේ සන්නාමය ආරක්ෂා කරගැනීමට පමණක් නොව, බුද්ධිමය දේපළ අයිතීන් පිළිබඳව සමස්ත ප්රජාවම සහ නව ව්යවසායකයින් දැනුවත් කිරීමේ අරමුණින් අප විසින් පළ කරන ලිපියකි.
එබැවින්, අලුතින් ව්යාපාර ආරම්භ කරන සියලුම පාර්ශවයන්ගෙන් අප ඉල්ලා සිටින්නේ, අපගේ "Revo" සන්නාමයට ශබ්දයෙන්, පෙනුමෙන් හෝ අක්ෂර වින්යාසයෙන් සමාන නොවන අයුරින් තම වෙළඳ නාමයන් තෝරාගැනීමට දැඩි ලෙස සැලකිලිමත් වන ලෙසයි. එසේ නොමැතිව, අපගේ බුද්ධිමය දේපළ අයිතීන්ට හානි වන අයුරින් යම් ගැටලුවක් මතු වුවහොත්, ඊට එරෙහිව නිසි නීතිමය ක්රියාමාර්ග ගැනීමට අප කිසිවිටෙකත් නොපසුබට වන බව තරයේ දන්වා සිටිමු.
