✨ "කණක" එහෙමත් නැතිනම් "Chrysoberyl" ගැන ඔබ දැනගත යුතු කරුණු.. ✨
💎Chrysoberyl is a hard, orthorhombic mineral with a vitreous luster, excellent wearability, and a refractive index of 1.740-1.777.
💎It exhibits distinct pleochroism in shades of yellow and brown, chatoyancy (cat's eye effect), and sometimes asterism or color change.
💎The mineral typically appears in colors ranging from yellowish green to brown, but can also be gray, blue-green, deep green, red, violet, or rarely colorless.
💎Its chemical formula is BeAl2O4 + Fe, Ti, and it has a specific gravity of 3.68-3.80.
💎Chrysoberyl forms in pegmatites, gneiss, mica schist, dolomitic marbles, and as stream pebbles, with notable varieties including alexandrite and cymophane.
💎It has distinct cleavage in one direction, conchoidal fracture, and birefringence of 0.008-0.012.
💎It may show weak luminescence under shortwave UV light, with some pale green specimens fluorescing yellow-green. Common inclusions in cat's eye chrysoberyl are short needles, tubes parallel to the long axis, and liquid-filled cavities. The mineral is biaxial with optical properties that vary with iron content, and it is typically transparent to opaque.
