Last year we were assigned to produce a documentary video series looking back on Japan funded projects undertaken by UNFPA across Sri Lanka. The videos featured beneficiaries across Sri Lanka exploring the transformative impact of the work through their experiences. They conveyed both challenges and successes. This national disease awareness campaign protected vulnerable young adults by closing measles immunity gaps through targeted vaccination in high‑risk settings. With measles perceived as low risk and little public demand for the vaccine, awareness and urgency had to be built from the ground up. Through bold communication and integrated outreach, the initiative achieved over 90% reach. Against a global benchmark of 50% adult vaccination coverage, it successfully mobilized 20–30 year olds across 12 districts, safeguarded lives, and reinforced Sri Lanka’s preparedness for future outbreaks. An outstanding example of effective non‑profit marketing driving measurable public health outcomes.

In Sri Lanka, mental health carries deep stigma, especially in high-pressure sectors like the garment industry. Oya Thani Nehe challenged this by normalising mental health conversations and encouraging help seeking at work. Using culturally resonant storytelling such as street dramas, magazines, mass and social media the campaign reframed mental wellbeing as a shared human experience. The campaign proved that empathetic, culturally rooted communication can drive real behaviour change and improve workplace wellbeing.

women’s glow is often perceived to fade under the weight of marriage and motherhood responsibilities. By reframing self‑care as a daily act of self‑worth, the brand reignited a forgotten truth through the lens of sisterhood that glow is not reserved for special occasions, but belongs to every day.

Last night we released a movie, scripted and directed and of course the entire project lead by our ever brilliant ECD Chinthana Dharmadasa and our AV Maestro Minuwan Sri Premasinghe. Challenging the Status Quo is in the DNA of Thinking Dots. Produced by our beloved client Stand Up Movement “Abisari” the movie is a true testament to that very real fact. Here’s to many more adventures of shaking things up to make our world just a little better!
