Supreme Court Sentences Prophet Key to six Months in Prison.

The Supreme Court has finally sentenced Justine Oldpa Yeazehn alias Prophet Key to six months in prison. The Court has also ordered him to execute a behavior bond guaranteeing that he will refrain from insulting any Liberian henceforth. As part of the Court’s judgment, Prophet Key is required to publish a letter of apology to the Court and Liberian women for five days.

Liberia scored 28 points out of 100 on the 2025 Corruption Perceptions Index reported by Transparency International. source: Transparency International (0 = most corrupt; 100 = very clean). 

This reflects an improvement from the previous year (where Liberia scored 27), showing a 1-point increase on the CPI scale.

In the last five years, this is how Liberia has performed 👇

Liberia Dropped again, suggesting worsening perception.

Liberia experienced the Lowest level, showing a decline from earlier years.

Liberia Improved by 2 points from 2023

Liberia improved again with an Increase by 1 point from 2024, indicating progress.

Advocacy groups in Liberia (like CENTAL) welcomed the progress in the fight against corruption but warn that much more needs to be done to fight systemic corruption.

The improvement is largely seen as President Boakai’s efforts to fight corruption with recent dismissals, suspensions with some current and former government officials indicted.

However, pundits blame the judiciary for slowing the corruption fight with cases taking over a year to hand down ruling.

Statement from Christoph The Change Management Regarding Performance at Convent Catholic School.

Monrovia — In light of recent discussions concerning Christoph’s performance at Convent Catholic School, we wish to address the matter directly and with full accountability.

We deeply regret that an inappropriate verse was included during the school event. Prior to the performance, our team provided an approved list of songs deemed suitable for the audience. Despite these precautions, the students’ audible request for a particular viral verse created an unforeseen situation.

It is important to clarify that the song in question, “###,” was explicitly created for adult audiences. Christoph has consistently discouraged minors from engaging with this content and has personally intervened in the past when students have recited the verse.

In response to the students’ chants, the team immediately instructed the DJ to change the track. However, the DJ did not comply because the audience had already begun chanting to the song—a circumstance beyond the artist’s control. Nevertheless, we acknowledge that this moment should not have occurred.

We offer our sincerest apologies to the parents, the administration of Convent Catholic School—an institution Christoph holds in high esteem—and to all fans who were rightly disappointed. As entertainers, we strive to connect with and satisfy our audience, but we take full responsibility for this lapse in performance protocol.

In the coming days, we will proactively contact the school administration to extend a formal, in-person apology. Christoph is committed to learning from this experience and reaffirms his dedication to responsible entertainment, especially in settings with young audiences.
