Crafting a brand's voice to please or entertain customers won't get you far. People feel when the conversation is genuine and when it's not. A fake voice is also tricky to maintain.

Look inward and try to capture the essence of who you are and why you do what you do. A brand's voice is the reflection of the people behind the company. Does your communication sound natural? Does it sound like you? If not, perhaps it's time to review your brand's voice.

There are some pretty good tools to help you write voice guidelines. We'll get there in the next post.

Goals provide us with a sense of direction. With a purpose. It gives us structure and something to seek for. It provides a chance to progress, become better and realise our potential. We must find a powerful reason behind our goals, structure and execute them. It is simple but not easy.
