I Lost Time, But I Found a Direction
It was late.
The city was silent.
In my room, the light from my phone illuminated my face.
I was looking back at my past.
The years that had gone by.
The missed opportunities.
The paths without direction.
And one question kept coming back:
“Did I waste too much time?”
While some people were already moving forward,
I was still searching for my place.
I watched others build their lives.
And sometimes, I wondered when my own story would truly begin.
Then one day, I understood.
I was not behind.
I was preparing.
Like a seed hidden beneath the ground,
I was building my roots.
My mistakes taught me.
My failures made me stronger.
My doubts awakened me.
So I stopped running in every direction.
I chose a path.
To learn.
To build my skills.
To develop my languages.
To train myself in communication.
Today, I no longer regret my past.
Because what I thought was wasted time
was perhaps the time I needed to find myself.
Yes, I lost time.
But I gained something more important:
A direction.
Because it is better to arrive late on the right path
than to run fast toward the wrong destination.
