Spent the last decade researching and developing a bulletproof design theory for web that leverages current CSS standards to build versatile and resilient user experiences across devices and use cases. My approach is ideal for security conscious business that wants to reduce the technology footprint that can be leveraged for an attack. I have designed and coded a custom, component based website building tool using SCSS and Go Hugo. It delivers a maintainable, easily customisable and resilient CMS system which can be adapted to the customer needs. you don't have to wrap your business around a ready made system or buy a brittle custom template from unknown third parties. If security is a concern, code hygiene is a good first step.
# Nostalgia corner:
35 years of experience in IT, graphic design and communications. First computer was a BBC B, first job was helping cow gum and technical pen designers with fresh new Macintosh aids. Been there on Aldus Freehand 1, Adobe Illustrator 88, Photoshop 1. When Adobe introduced channels to Photoshop we could start doing magic! I was creating proper glyphs for Maltese using Fontographer when font files were a nightmare so as to keep the client's corporate and brand look when using Maltese. Got first version of QuarkXpress straight from the US and first to move to Adobe Indesign. Exploring the typographical tools of each new package was magic! It's sad to see that a lot of work today looks more like a powerpoint presentation than a properly crafted typographic marvel.
