Every story has a beginning. Ours began in 2011.

Fifteen years later, that story has been shaped by ideas brought to life, challenges that made us better, partnerships that grew with us, and work that took us further than we imagined when we first started.

Along the way, Open Sky has grown, evolved and explored new possibilities, but the spirit that started it all remains.

As we celebrate 15 years, we extend our heartfelt congratulations and appreciation to our team, partners and everyone who has been part of this journey.

More than 200 bird illustrations. Countless hours of observation, research and refinement.

Created for Protected Birds of the Maldives, each illustration was developed to capture the defining features of the country's protected bird species with both scientific accuracy and artistic detail.

The result is a visual collection that not only supports conservation and education but also celebrates the remarkable diversity of Maldivian birdlife.

Developed under the ENDhERI Programme with support from the Global Environment Facility and the United Nations Environment Programme.

Scope: Illustrations, Editorial Development, Publication Design and Layout, Print and Publishing

A landmark publication, crafted with patience and illustrated with a purpose.

Over a year-long journey, artistry, research and conservation came together to bring more than 200 protected bird species of the Maldives to life across over 400 beautifully curated pages.

Developed under the ENDhERI Programme, with support from the Global Environment Facility and the United Nations Environment Programme, Protected Birds of the Maldives is the definitive visual tribute to the country’s birdlife.

The precision, consistency and creative discipline behind the project shaped a publication thoughtfully designed to inform, preserve and inspire generations.
