1 Thessalonians 5:17 Pray without ceasing

There is no short cut to prayers. All the anointed objects people have been using to replace prayers have failed. No stone, no sticker, no water, no oil or anything should replace prayer. Prayer is greater than all those and hence prayer should never be neglected.

People may sometimes pray for you but it's dangerous to delegate prayer because there is no guarantee that the other person will indeed pray for you. So learn to pray and do it yourself.

There is nothing like a holiday in prayer. Prayer is everyday exercise. We dont give up in prayer.

Luke 18:1 "Then Jesus told them a parable about their need to pray at all times and not lose heart:"

We pray when we are happy. We pray when we are in afflictions. Prayer is for all times and seasons.
Wenpray when we feel like praying. We pray when we dont feel like praying. We pray when we have energy to pray. We pray when we don't have energy to pray. We pray and pray and pray regardless of the conditions and situations.

Luk 22:44 "And in His anguish, He prayed more earnestly, and His sweat became like drops of blood falling to the ground."

James 5:13 "Is any one of you suffering? He should pray."

Do right things

Ezekiel 18:21 (ISV) "But if the wicked person turns from all his sins, which he did and keeps my statutes, then he’ll live. He won’t die."

Yesterday we looked at a Devotional entitled REDEEM THE FUTURE and we looked at our actions as the maker of the future.

Many people say that their future is in the hands of God. Others think the devil can steal their future. Generally that may sound correct but specifically God has assigned the future to be decided by ourselves. In the opening verse, the wicked person is destined to die. However if the wicked person decides to turn from his sins, the Bible says God will let Him live.

So the choice to live or die is decided by the person. What God has done is to put His principles that can determine your future based on your choice whether you obey them or not.

Deuteronomy 30:19 (NHEB) "I call heaven and earth to witness against you this day, that I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse: therefore choose life, that you may live, you and your descendants.."

Always do the right things. No wrong thing can redeem your future. No lies can help you build a future. Money obtained through theft or evil means shouldn't be used to build the future.
Prov 13:11 "Dishonest wealth will dwindle, but what is earned through hard work will be multiplied."

Redeem the Future

Psalm 37:37-38 (ISV) Observe the blameless! Take note of the upright! Indeed, the future of that man is peace. Sinners will be destroyed together; the future of the wicked will be cut off.

Future is the actions done today whose effect will be noticed tomorrow. Whatever you are doing today is what will collectively determine your future. The future of the one who is upright today is peace. The future of the one who is wicked today is destruction.

Proverbs 10:4 (ISV) Lazy hands bring poverty, but hard-working hands lead to wealth.

The future of the lazy person is poverty. Hardworking leads to wealth in future. There is no need to even consult any seer or prophet to tell the lazy man about the future.

The easier way to change the future is to change the actions. Live according to the Word of God.

Regular prayers, Working hard, Loving people, Living right, Getting knowledge, Studying the Word are some of the actions that have the great future.

Your future is now. Your future are those actions. Your future is not some miracle happening ahead but the results of your actions now whose effect will be seen later.
