THIS SEPTEMBER, LET’S MAKE ROOM FOR HEALING.

Every person who makes it through a dark season carries a story of pain, courage and hope. Some are learning to live with a loss that changed everything, while others are quietly fighting battles no one can see.

And behind every silent struggle is someone who may simply need a safe place to speak.

This September, Sorry I’m Not Sorry invites those who have lost loved ones to su***de, survived an attempt, or are struggling with suicidal thoughts to take the next step towards healing.

From 10–30 September, free therapy sessions are available.

If you could tell someone who is struggling one thing today, what would it be?

SU***DE PREVENTION AWARENESS

This Su***de Prevention Month, let's remember that prevention can start with something simple: checking on each other.

Check on your busy friends. Behind those busy schedules may be struggles they never talk about.

Check on the successful ones. Having it all together on the outside doesn't mean everything is okay inside.

Check on those who make everyone laugh. They bring smiles to others, but who puts a smile on their faces?

Check on the caregivers. Those who are always there for everyone may also need someone to be there for them.

Sometimes, a simple “How are you really doing?” can open a door to a life-saving conversation.

Let's check on each other. Together, we can prevent su***de.

🌍 WORLD PATIENT SAFETY DAY 2026 | SUPPORT ZOMBA MENTAL HOSPITAL

World Patient Safety Day, observed on 17 September, reminds us of the importance of safe, dignified and compassionate care for every patient.

For Sorry I’m Not Sorry: We Are All Sick (SINS), it is also a reminder that we are all human. At different points in life, we all need care, understanding and support.

This year, we are joining hands with Zomba Mental Hospital to promote dignity, self-care, patient safety and a safe environment for people receiving mental health care.

We are calling on individuals and well-wishers to support us with:

👕 Gently used clothing and useful items
💰 Financial contributions
🧹 Cleaning materials and other essentials

📅 Donation deadline: 13 September 2026
🧹 Cleaning & handover: 16 September 2026 | Zomba Mental Hospital

No contribution is too small. Give with love. Give hope. Restore dignity. ❤️

Because mental health is human health, and caring for people is everyone’s responsibility.

Sorry I’m Not Sorry: We Are All Sick (SINS)

Let’s Change the Narrative on Su***de

This Su***de Prevention Month, let’s remember the power of conversation.

Sometimes, simply asking someone, “How are you really doing?” can make a difference. Giving someone the space to speak, listening without judgment, and reminding them that they are not alone can be the conversation that saves a life.

Let’s go beyond asking “Are you okay?”—let’s genuinely listen to the answer.

Start the conversation. Listen. Be present. You could save a life.

The Blantyre Chapter is proud to stand alongside other key organizations at the 2026 Youth Mental Health Festival at Chichiri Upper Stadium in Blantyre!

Despite facing various challenges, our team turned up in full strength to advocate for what truly matters.

“Sorry, we are all sick, but we could not miss this,” shared a chapter representative. “Mental health matters, and our youth deserve to be equipped, heard, and supported.”

Running under the theme “Brighter Minds, Brighter Future,” the festival brings together youth leaders, mental health practitioners, educators, and faith-based organizations to break stigma and build resilience.

What was happening at Chichiri Upper Stadium?
Engaging panel discussions
Wellness workshops
Free counseling services
Dynamic youth performances

Holding this event at an open venue like Chichiri Upper Stadium provides a safe, accessible space for young people to candidly tackle stress, anxiety, substance use, and relationships.

Our participation is part of our Season of Visibility mandate—empowering young people to step into their purpose while prioritizing both their mental and spiritual well-being.

Special appreciation goes to the Mental Health Literacy e-Curriculum Project - MHLeC Project and Millennium University for their collaboration in programming this impactful event!

TONIGHT, LET’S TALK ABOUT WHAT WE DON’T SAY.

The day is ending, the social media noise of the day is slowly fading, but somewhere tonight, someone who was smiling, tonight quietly will seat on his ot her bed carrying something heavy inside. Maybe it’s stress, disappointment, loneliness, pressure or simply a feeling you can’t put into words.

So tonight, give yourself permission to be honest. If you could say one thing without being judged, what would you say? Drop it in the comments. Someone might be carrying the same weight, and your words could remind them they’re not alone.
