This pork-free malaysian food kopitiam offers decent local food that won't disappoint you. (well didnt disappoint us lah)

Nasi Lemak with Ayam Rendang (RM 10.90)
Cendol (RM 6 each)
Popiah fried(RM 2.60)
Mee siam (RM 6.50)
strong lemongrass taste

Overall: Food is very good.
Cendol has coconut and gula melaka taste so fragrant.

Nasi lemak the ayam rendang was the highlight got lemongrass taste, nasi got pandan taste (but the chicken rice next door hands down the rice was better).

Mee Siam also lemongrass taste winner. Almost wanted to order a 2nd plate of mee siam.

Happy to order all of it again. Will return

Usually crowded in the afternoon but raya days the crowd was a blessed.
Roast Chicken + Roasted Pork + Char Siew (RM 26 for 2 pax, RM 14 for 1 pax)
Honestly kinda pricy - but if you compare with angmo countries still way cheaper and berbaloi lah.
Better than cafe food for sure.

Roasted pork(siew yoke) not so nice, not the best I had.

Char siew is like glass char siew type, so it's quite fatty.

Overall: Good
Really good and famous for its roasted chicken, chicken rice is fragrant.
Soup is abit salty but got flavour and chicken feet also.

I think order roasted chicken (RM 8) and if want with charsiew/sweet soy roast pork is good enough, noneed the roasted pork.
Will return.

Non-halal 💫if only y’all could try the Krispy roasted chicken

Don’t be confused with the Fatty Crabs in Ampang.
This one is Fatty Crab in PJ.
I made a mistake looking at the wrong menu.
Finally trying this pork-free chilli crab restaurant established since 1971, it's usually crazily crowded, I visited during ramadhan which was better phew.
Still, if you come at 6pm, expect to queue.

No menu here FYI, the only menu is just on the wallboard at the groundfloor RIP.

Crab (2 piece, RM 105)
the highlight, crabs fresh, meaty, chilli crab sauce quite spicy.
A choice of steamed or chilli crabs, go for chilli, which is what they are famous for.

Fried Rice (Rm 20, 2 plates 1 pax each)
Bread (RM 2.50) -would be better if toast has butter
Drinks (RM 10) - walao tea je.

Chicken wings (RM 8 per set for 3 wings)
Namyu taste mild, more roast taste.

Satay (Rm 1.50 per stick) 10 sticks RM 15
both wings & satay are good compliment to the crab. Note wings & satay are paid separately, these will collect money once your dish is served.

Overall: Pretty good
Taste wise is subjective, but the chilli crab here stands out as being different from your 'SG style chilli crab' , fresh too.

The queue here is usually INSANE.
Might return lah, i dont like super crowded too hectic spot, plus , my fave is always salted egg or dry butter sauce ;)

Affordable & tasty food discovered hidden at this difficult to park area. Signature noodles is their lai fun (thick rice noodles). You get to choose soup, dry soy, curry, or dry curry version for noodles of your choice (lai fun, egg noodles, mihun, kuey teow etc)

Dry QQ Laifun (RM 4)
QQ indeed! the dry soy dressing made this simple plain laifun savoury tasty.

Braised Chicken Feet (RM 4.50)
very tender, good

Yong Tau Foo (price varies)
Stuffed fish meat bittergourd (RM2.20)
Stuffed fish meat Brinjal (RM 2.20)
What's the usual pricing for YTF nowadays?

Pork Noodles (RM 9.90)
soup taste like wantan mee type of soup, comes with sam kan cheong style pork cubes and minced meat.
Herbal Tea (+RM 1)
Fried Yam (+RM 1)
add-on choices from the pork noodles. The Fried Yam IMO is not so good, stale.

Kaya Butter Toast (RM 3)
hainan toast nicely slathered! crispy.

Braised Pork Knuckle (RM 7)
If compared, the braised chicken feet taste nicer. we were given alot of lean meat, next time wanna request big bone meat. Taste wise still good.

Overall: Good
Will return, peng leng ceng restaurant!

Emm not so vegetarian friendly, 🌿not sure if the dry plain noodles contains any pork oil.

This place gets quite busy during lunchtime. I find the kopitiam food here quite tasty decent.
there’s 2 other kopitiam around. The one facing the main road is the one that cost most, this one is at the back.

Seafood noodles (RM 10)
-got Chinese wine taste, love it.

Pork noodles (RM 7, dry, small)
- the Aunty has some swag you talk to her she won’t look or layan you but actually she heard your order 😂 the soup is flavourful tasty.

Char kuey teow (RM 8)
-portion abit small but got wok hei

Teh ais (RM 2.70)

Non halal, but got ayam berempah lah
Not so vegetarian friendly

Came here during lunch early was quite empty, but i most certainly enjoyed the quiet vibes.Oh, there's complimentary bread too.

Eggy's Bacon Carbonara (RM 34)
- Creamy type of carbonara, not the traditional type. Heavenly creamy, basic but nice pork bacon carbonara.
-
Fish Temptation (RM 30) - butterfish, not dory fish phew. Fish and chips fried till golden crispy. The only thing lacklustre is the tartar sauce.

Sweet Potato Fries with lemon aioli (RM 15)
-always pleasurable. lemon aioli quite nice, ate it with the fries and fish too.

Bangers & Mash (RM 35)
Sausage supposedly chorizo, i like that it's heavy spiced and flavourful, but cookexpert Jojo said needs to be more red, chorizo should be more red.

Overall: Good
Seem like one of those restaurants for casual family gatherings and dinners. Not instagrammable but food is better than some of the cafe food out there

There are powerplug ports if you need to work.
Possibly pet-friendly, there's some seats outdoors but i have to revisit again to be sure.

Plain water is served.

That offers breakfast, lunch and dinner options. We came here early for breakfast one day after enjoying lunch here the other day, parking was easier, food options are abit more limited for breakfast IMO:

Big Breakfast (RM 40) -decent alright but I personally prefer the BB choice at doudoubake.
Sourdough Waffle (RM 19) - Vegan friendly
Same waffles at VCR stacks. simple & nice.

Pretty decent cafe breakfast spot, if you like more varieties you probably need to wait till lunchtime 12pm.
Will return.

Finally Setia Alam has a modern dining sake bar that offers great otsumami (bites served with alcohol).
Trying Spring tasting menu with sake/cocktail pairing with :

A light but powerful start at the beginning of the tasting menu.

Each sake pairing goes from sweet,floral,light slowly to intense,muscular,strong as the tasting menu goes by. Complimenting perfectly to the dishes.

1. Momokomachi Fresh Oyster
- already at cloud 9 when the oysters was served. Superbly fresh juicy oyster. A strong starter.

2.Bluefin Tuna Sashimi and Hamachi (Seasonal)
-another strong start, the sashimi was exquisitely fresh, and yes, fresh real grated wasabi.

3. Steamed Japanese

Clams with Cabbage
-buttered cabbage through your first bite, super fresh clams was succulent & clear broth was filled with umami.
-clams are sourced straight from the port, QC ensuring freshness by the crew before it even arrive at the restaurant.

4. Deep Fried Chicken Wings
-An interesting addition. Comfort food in an exquisite tasting menu.

5. Truffle Potato Salad
- right balance of truffle on the creamy potato salad, topped with garlic crisp , the burst of flavours was beautiful.

6. Maguro Tuna with Leek Skewer
-a guilty pleasure fatty dish, grilling brought out the flavours. Sake is intense, which goes well with this heavy flavour skewer.

7. Hamburg with Demi glaze
- ravishing pork and beef combo Hamburg

8. Stir fried Japanese Scallop with Asparagus
-simple stir fried letting the natural flavours do the talking.

9. A5 Wagyu served in Sukiyaki Sauce
- creamy melt into your mouth, The award winning sake goes perfectly with the wagyu.

10. Yuzu Sake Sorbet (Seasonal)
-You'll be surprised how good, light & refreshing this combination goes.

Overall: Amazing
Spring tasting menu was fantastic, everything was top-notch.
Only compliments to rave about the food and each sake/cocktail pairing.

Sake & j*pfood lovers , you'll enjoy this place.

Congrats on the grand opening of in Sea Park PJ, we had a lovely course set dinner experience here:

Starters:
Mieng Kam - Thai betel leaf served 7 condiments.
-Acquired taste, betel leaf is always very distinctive, combining everything you get a refreshing interesting combo.

Prawn wrapped wonton skin
-for the not so adventurous, these crispy babies are classic dipped in thai chilli sauce.

Main course:
Deep Fried Siakap with thai chilli sauce
-Crispy, fresh. flavourful. Careful with some small bones.

Stir Fried Kailan with Salted Fish
-Salted fish taste not strong, your usual kailan to make a balance meal.

Firepot Tom Yam Clear Soup
-don't be fooled, this clear soup is pretty spicy & flavourful ! Has prawns, fish, squid, seafood nice combo.

Crispy chicken salad, onion, chilli & mint leaves.
- unique, love how flavourful tasty this dish is, pretty spicy too! Every bite to the succulent chicken, you taste alot of spice.

Mango sticky rice + coconut ice cream.
-Love how the sticky rice is soft & warm! drizzled with coconut cream goes perfect the hot and cold combo with the ice cream. A good sticky rice makes a good dessert. LOVE.

Drinks:
Thai milk tea
Thai green milk tea
Pink lemon
Pink milkshake (this taste like Bandung milk)

Overall: Great
We find the food overall quite spicy, but nevertheless it tasted good. For those that can't take spicy , you have been warned.

Are you up for a spicy ramen bar challenge? ain't your usual ramen bar, but one of a kind fusion ramen bar.
Here's why:

Katsu Curry Ramen (RM 31.90)
Choice of up until lvl 4 spicy, if you like spicy thick 'laksa' malaysian curry, you'll love this dish.
We love that it's savoury spicy instead of the usual sweet j*p curry.
Strong fragrant taste of coconut milk, the curry thickly coats the ramen.
Dish comes with pork lard, lime, chilli paste dip and refreshing pickled cucumbers. Curry broth is made fresh daily.

King of Pork Chop Ramen (RM 43.90)
Pork chop is humongous. 200% good deal.
Pork chop is smoky flavourful, thick cut.
Soup very 'kao', expect strong broth flavours.

Charsyu Dry Ramen (RM 23.90)
Personally think the pork chop ramen and curry katsu ramen has outshine this one.

Cream Corn Croquette (RM 12.90)
Crispy on the outside, soft creamy on the inside. Nice.

Mango chicken (RM 12.90)
Karaage chicken coated with mango aioli. Juicy chicken chunks coated with a sweet savoury mango sauce.

Truffle Gyoza (RM 13.90)
a burst of flavours, the fragrant shaved truffle pieces, ebikko, j*p mayo, the juicy meat inside the dumpling. One for the more adventurous.

Super Fruit Punch (RM 19.90)
Refreshing, filled with fruits like lychee, watermelon chunks, orange. Not too sweet ;) serves 4 pax 👍🏼

Overall: Great
Not your typical ramen, you can expect ramen with a nice twist. Love the creativity of the noodles and the sides.
SPICY CURRY RAMEN was the HIGHLIGHT, interesting yet ravishing full meal.

Who knew these woodfire babies are created from a food truck.

Margherita (RM 23)
I guess it's so simply and tasty we went for 2 of the same thing. Classic, dough is chewy, red sauce was done right topped perfectly with the mozza cheese.

Overall pizza was delicious , there's others' to explore as well but pretty satisfied with this classical pizza.

Usually taiwanese food has pork, this is my first time seeing a pork-free restaurant. I wouldn't say it's authentic taiwanese food , visited taiwan and feel this is more of a taiwanese influence/fusion kind of food.

Noodles you have a choice of thin, thick or knive cut noodles.

Roasted Sesame Sauce Noodles (RM 10.90)
Chose thick noodles. I was surprised by how good the warm roasted sesame sauce taste when combined with the noodles, sauce is not thin, but not too thick either.

Tomato Dry Noodle with Crispy Chicken (RM 16.90)
Chose knive cut noodles. Crispy chicken is crispy, I love how it's topped with parmesan. Tomato noodles was pleasant! Eat it fast you don't want your fried chicken to get soggy.

Hawthorn Roselle Drink (RM 7.90)
Sam Zha drink the sweet snack you eat when you're a child, it's my first time seeing it in a drink version! very refreshing enjoyable.

Tomato Egg Drop Soup (RM 8.50)
Delish! Sour soupy taste with that eggy omelette style, I always think this is a popular china dish choice.

Overall: Good
Food is really interesting, we enjoyed the tomato based taste in some of the dishes we had.

Presentation looks simple but hey, good food taste is more important.
Will return.
