It was established in June, 2015 and has since been growing in membership each year. INTRODUCTION
Pinoy Shuttlemaster Malaysia (PSM) is a group of strong 150++ Filipino badminton enthusiasts based in Malaysia, duly recognized by Philippine Embassy and Department of Migrant Workers Kuala Lumpur. It was established in June 5, 2015 and has since been growing in membership each year. Members come from different demography that cuts through various sector of Filipino community in Malaysia. MISSION, VISION & STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES
1. Mission
We are promoting a healthy lifestyle and camaraderie thru sports, mainly badminton. The group also endeavors to use its influence to be relevant in various community social responsibilities.
2. Vision
To encourage the Filipino community to take up badminton as a popular and affordable sports. Members are being assisted to reach their full potentials by providing them necessary training and experience to further their skills and interest. We hope to produce and/or discover talents that will continue the tradition either here or in their next place of work destination.
3. To facilitate the playing and practice of badminton in all its forms
b. To help develop members’ skills through recreational and competitive badminton. To provide a forum for members to interact and socialize through playing and non-playing activities. To ensure that members, no matter what their age or background, will have an opportunity to reach their potential. To assist members to represent PSM at a higher level. To provide invites / updates on the latest Filipino badminton tournaments in Malaysia thru the PSM Official Group page. ACTIVITIES & FOCUS
1. Annual General Membership Meeting (AGMM)
PSM yearly event for the new fiscal year. The event is attended by the membership body to exercise their right and privileges to vote and or become an officer of this sports organization. The event also includes organization’s annual report and is followed by a members’ fellowship
2. PSM Anibersaya
This is an open Annual Badminton Tourney open to members and non-members alike in celebration of the foundation day of the Organization. The event is usually attended by players coming from various badminton communities and non-allied members in Malaysia, Singapore and PSM Members.
3. PSMGivesBack
PSM, in promoting social consciousness with its members, conducts charity and outreach program for selected beneficiaries for both Filipino and local communities. To raise funds, the group conducts solicitations and sponsorships thru Badminton Tourneys.
4. PSM-Other Badminton Community Dual Meet
PSM interacts thru friendly tournament with other Filipino Badminton Groups from neighbouring country such as Singapore, as well as interaction with local communities.
5. Hampasko (Christmas Event)
Christmas will always be a main celebration for the Filipinos. In line with the Yuletide season, PSM conducts an annual Christmas themed badminton team event with a competitive yet friendly and meaningful cheer dance competition on the sides. It is followed by a gathering in celebration of the Christmas season for all members, family and friends.
6. Beginners’ Badminton Training
PSM conducts a FREE badminton clinic for all beginners (member / non-member) who wanted to learn and improve the game.
7. Kiligan & Bekiligan
Love is in the air. In spreading such unity and love, PSM’s version of Valentine celebration of relationships, family and lasting friendships consisting of Mixed partnership that is inclusive to all community.
8. PSM SuperLiga
To sustain interest, a monthly mini group tournament is also conducted that uses various fanfares, themes and fun game rules to add spice to the game.
9. Weekly Queuing
A weekly game conducted in various venues where applicable in order to polish the game of the members. CORPORATE SPONSORSHIP
PSM aims to establish a deeper collaboration with industry players in order to sustain the mission of the organization. Currently, our membership is only limited to around 90 active members hence; we are offering joint partnership of our activities through advertisement and sponsorship. Although we have funds being received and generated through different sports events hosted, PSM is still looking forward to accepting sponsorship from related partners that share its ideals and are willing to support the expansion of its programs.
