With years of experience working for Atlassian on Jira development, the Digital Toucan team was no stranger to the Marketplace, and they had what it took to create a successful app.
However, even the best apps can stagnate in the crowded Marketplace. At the time, there were a little over 4,000 apps in the Atlassian Marketplace, and standing out was already a challenge.
Long story short, we helped implement a full go-to-market solution for the JQL Search Extensions for Jira app, increasing evaluations and sales by over 250% and launching the app into the top 25 on the Marketplace.
Some of the tasks we prioritized were:
- Website redesign to increase traffic Marketplace traffic and conversions
- Reinvented brand and product messaging to strengthen differentiation
- Optimized the Marketplace listing and developed an explainer video to capture attention and convey value as quick as possible
- Launched a campaign to educate target audiences on the “magic” of JQL search extensions and create new product demand
