11th April 2025 - We were truly honoured to welcome Chef Abang Abdul Rahman, President of the Kuching Chef Association (KCA), and Chef Abdul Aziz Hj Basri, KCA Adviser, Entrepreneur and Ex hotelier as our distinguished guest chefs!
As part of our Industry into Classroom initiative, students had the rare opportunity to learn firsthand from two culinary legends. From mastering the art of Chicken with Orange Sauce to the delicate technique behind Egg Drop Soup, our students cooked, plated and presented under the watchful eyes of the chefs.
The chefs’ guidance and constructive feedback were incredibly valuable, especially those eyeing a future in the culinary industry and competitions.

Who knew making cup noodles could involve so much thinking, tasting and tasting again? 😂

Our journey at the Lee Fah Mee Sarawak Noodles Challenge 2026 was all about creativity, teamwork and bringing the flavours of Sarawak to life! 🌿

After weeks of brainstorming and experimenting, we created our very own Sarawak White Pepper & Serai Chicken Mee and proudly brought home a Bronze Medal! 🥉❤️

A big thank you to Lee Fah Mee for this amazing experience. More than just a competition, it was a chance to learn, innovate and have fun along the way! 👨‍🍳✨

👨‍🍳 A Culinary Journey for the Books: Recollecting SICC 2026! 👩‍🍳 Kuching Chefs Association

The Sarawak International Culinaire Challenge (SICC) 2026 has come to a delicious close, and what an incredible event it was! Our hearts (and stomachs!) are full after experiencing the talent, passion, and sheer creativity displayed at the Tropics City Enrichment Hub from September 25–27.

A heartfelt thank you to SICC 2026 organising chairperson Vera Chin and the entire organising committee for their incredible dedication in bringing this grand event to life. Thank you for giving us the privilege to serve as the Official Cooking Oil Sponsor Merris To top off an unforgettable event, the final night brought everyone together for the Kuching Chefs Association (KCA) 10th Anniversary Dinner & SICC Awards Ceremony.

It was an inspiring evening honoring excellence and recognizing the extraordinary talent on display. A big congratulations to all the winners and participants, it was especially great to see so many young chefs stepping up and showcasing their talent. The future of gastronomy in Sarawak is looking brighter than ever! ✨
