What Goes Behind a Radio Interview
Have you ever imagine how a radio interview is been conducted? It seems easy for the DJs to speak so freely on air, isn't it?
Usually the interviews are conducted through Live recording or a pre-recorded session. Regardless how the interview is, both sessions required many preparation.
As PR, we need to decide on the theme, Q&As, arrangements, coordination and making sure the messaging is correct during the radio interview.
For Live interview, we can't do a 2nd take, so the messages and pointers must be straight forward. But for the pre-recorded session, we have some lee-ways to make sure the content is delivered properly.
Even a pre-recording session can be daunting, because the speaker must be able to deliver the message with a casual tone, relax manner and avoid sounding like they are reading a script.
It was a great experience which we had to coordinate a radio interview with 2 successful lady-preneurs. One is a top baker who made the most expensive cake in Malaysia and founder of My Mom's Bakery, Anne Idris.
The other is the beautiful Datin Paduka Eina Azman who is an actress and also founder of It's Done By Eina.
