The public is advised never to leave electronic devices in vehicles, no matter how well hidden. regardless of how well they are Many devices left in sleep mode can still be detected by criminals using an app called BlueRadar, which allows them to “see” nearby electronic equipment without needing to connect to it. This enables thieves to identify which cars to target, regardless of how well items are concealed. Tests by NMH confirmed the app works as described (see video: https://q.my.na/4FUZ).
The same caution applies to passports and other identification documents.

MISSING PERSON ALERT

The Namibian Police Force (Wanaheda Police Station – Khomas Region) is urgently seeking the public’s assistance in locating Emilia Edward, a 23-year-old woman who has been missing since March 2025.

Emilia allegedly left her home in Windhoek’s Havana location heading to Otjomuise in search of a job opportunity – but she has not been seen or heard from since. Her phone has been unreachable, and all efforts by her family to trace her have been unsuccessful.

She is a Namibian female, 23 years old, black in complexion, with a slender build, and speaks Oshiwambo.
